Ronaldo
As a CB he's just as bad, though, which is the issue.
Oz
You boys need to catch a grip. Colocinni absolutely brutal tonight and yet Williamson is the one getting flak...unreal!
Ronaldo
Williamson is out of his depth and it hurts us every game. What should we be saying, Sell Colo? Get him out so Willo and Perchino can play?
toondra
should play number
Pilko
As a CB he's just as bad, though, which is the issue. He has different limitations though, for a start he doesn't get outpaced by pretty much every single player in the division which is a massive advantage. Perch also manages to pass the ball with a bit of confidence. He's stronger in the tackle and his positioning is no worse than Williamson's either. The only thing Williamson has on him is height and winning bread and butter headers (and he's not even too good at that tbh). Williamson was once outjumped by Charles N'Zogbia ffs. He's an absolute embarrassment.
Guest GeordieAce
You'd be hard pushed to find a worse CB in the league. Just abysmal.

Williamson can win a header if its against stick thin players, but its really better if he didn`t as it will only go to the opposition, even unchallenged it will go into a danger area. ExiledGeordie
Well until he's replaced with a new centre it's going to be the same bloody story, game in game out. And we can't rely on Taylor staying fit. NEED a new CH
AlanSkÃrare
His confidence is shot now as well. Some of his passes last night were so nervous I wanted to cry.
AyeDubbleYoo
Pretty much has to be top priority to get a new CB in January. Ideally they need to be good enough to keep Taylor out of the team as well, or at least compete with him strongly.
alexthegreat
According to his wikipedia page, his entire career in league matches consists of: 16 appearances for Torquay 144 appearances for Wycombe 21 appearances for Watford. Then, at the age of 26, he signed for Newcastle United. Hes made 79 league appearances - the vast majority of them in the Premier League (and its 92 appearances in all competitions). I think hes done unbelievably well considering hes in no way, shape or form a Premier League player. Hes actually been a man of the match contender on a number of occasions during his time here (although not any time recently and always in our more insipid displays). He should never, ever have been required to play nearly 100 times for us. I think hes shown an awful lot of character and he'd certainly get a clap from me if he came back to the club in future, but I really hope that in January we sign a player that means he never plays again. AlanSkÃrare
He was excellent when he signed for us in the Championship and did well in spells during 2010/11 and had a few decent showings in 2011/12. This season he's been exposed because of our general pathetic football where defenders are - despite a negative approach - being put under a lot more pressure. Everytime he's individually challenged his weaknesses are exposed. Watching him in a team doing well and defending as a unit during parts of last season, none of that was equally evident. He's decent in the air and positionally he wasn't the worst. When we beat Man Utd 3-0 in January he was a fucking rock. Excelled in the presence of Coloccini. But as a outright stopper, which he is, he's lost confidence and he is being harmed by the fact that Tioté isn't protecting him, the fact that Colo has to cover up more and hasn't been fit and the fact that we've collectively lost belief. Guest bimpy474
Cant this clumsy oaf drop a bottle of salad cream or aftershave on his foot like other daft hoofballers have done. Nice lad, fucking abortion of a footballer, weaker than a piece of piss in the wind.

KDT
His performance against Man Utd in the home game last season was class, he's just a very limited footballer unfortunately and weak in the air.
Jack Flash
He's had far more good/average games for us than bad games. I understand the criticism and want of a replacement but he's been a bargain all things considered and a credit to the club. When he scores tomorrow, it will be the most beautiful day of our lives. Our victory will taste better than any victory you or I have ever tasted.
