Lenny
The best possible tactics? Come on, we were playing against a team placed 10th. He played 4-4-2 at home, with 2 wingers, 2 attacking centre midfielders, a quick striker with a tall striker and went for the win. What else is he gonna do? Who mentioned selection? The selection has a lot to do with the gameplan. At the end of the day, the guys statement was hardly laughable whether you completely agree with it or not. Ronaldo
Giving Hughton a '9.5' for narrow win over Sheffield Utd and Routledge a '4' is pretty laughable imo. Anway, no more negativty.
toptoon
I though Routledge was our best player in the first half, but far too often the strikers were nowhere near him. That really does say it all about you. He should have had a hatrick and had several golden oppourtunities and coulden't even get a shot even on target from memory. He also took extra touches taking the ball out of play and misplaced several passes. He had a mare of a game when against poor oposition he should have really made them pay considering the chances he had. On another day it could all go right for him but today it certainly didn't. So what are you going to mark CH down for? He did everything right did he not? We should have romped it today and would have if Routeldge and Loven brought their shooting boots. Liam Liam Liam O
I though Routledge was our best player in the first half, but far too often the strikers were nowhere near him. That's because he kept coming into our half to get & then lose the ball.
Ronaldo
He beat his man time and time again and there was not a soul in the box for him.
Guest The_Scoreboard
giving Routledge a 4 is unbelievable, full of energy and effort. one of our liveliest players tonight and since he joined. I'm sure he doesn't give a shit like
Guest firetotheworks
We were shocking against a shocking team for the first 35 minutes. In five pages we'll have been like a pub team for the first 55 minutes. So fuck anyway, we won, we won comfortably, and we've been promoted. Some of the best teams play badly, and then come back to win. Why do we need to have a negative spin on it because its us/Hughton/whoever the fuck people have a tedious, and biased underlying opinion about? spizz energi
Harper 6 - Not good enough for the Prem but did ok tonight. Simpson 5 - Looked a little lost when put under pressure. Williamson 6 - Decent effort, great block that probably saved us conceeding a second. Colo 6 - Clean & Tidy. Enrique 8 - Best player on the pitch again. Routledge 3 - Headless chicken. End product of a paraplegic. Nolan 7 - Some lovely through balls and a superb goal. Obviously keeping the easter eggs until tomorrow. Guthrie 6 - Decent game, nothing special. Jonas 6 - Full of energy and a decent attempt at goal. Carroll 5 - Huffed & puffed til he won a pen. Otherwise didn't look remotely threatening. Lovenkrands 6 - Got into a few decent positions, took the penalty well. Ameobi 5 - Robson wanted him to replace Shearer. Who, Harry Shearer? Barton 5 - Looks after his hair. Hughton 7 Premiership here we come - not sure whether to be excited or very afraid

johnnypd
routledge had a good game - made things happen, got on the ball a lot, opened them up with his pace, made a number of good through balls and neat touches. was just missing that final bit of sharpness. giving him 3 out of 10 is madness. Well if your Souness there are no Wingers in the modern game apparently so forget them for starters and if your sam alladyce you play 1 goalie 9 defenders one striker and hope to nick it. He could have started Butt etc and played some tactics from hell like previous managers above. I think CH deserves credit.
