Cronky
this is the nolan link http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Arsenal-lining-up-8million-summer-bid-for-Manchester-City-goalkeeper-Joe-Hart-after-his-impressive-loan-spell-at-Birmingham-Exclusive-article395641.html Ah, now reading that carefully there is no mention of Wenger actually wanting Nolan - only that he needs a combative midfield player and Nolan has done well in the Championship. Still, he would fit in very well with their high tempo, one-touch style of play... No mention of wenger wanting him? Were you expecting direct quotes from Arsene on how Nolans dynamic play would have a positive impact on there success and would be one their main targets this summer? Not direct quotes, but something on the lines of 'Wenger wants Nolan' is the minimum requirement for a rumour. But 'Wenger wants a DM - hey, that Nolan's being doing okay in the Championship' is stretching it a bit. That's clearly the journo's opinion that Nolan could do a job for Arsenal, not Wenger's. Ronaldo
What 'steel' would Nolan provide anyway? He can't run or tackle.

Guest ObiChrisKenobi
In fact, the Larsson one is lazy Journalism too. We tried to sign him a few seasons ago but Birmingham were having none of it. So the papers are just rehashing that.
GM
Mads, you realise that for this thread to work you're going to have to keep your opening post updated with all the stories, you sure you're up for that? Surely this http://www.nufc.com/2009-10html/rumours.html already performs precisely this task reasonably well?

Guest
Walid Cherfa http://www.sofoot.com/walid-cherfa-en-angleterre-125368-news.html Us & Leeds linked. Google say he's a left-back. Cover for Jose?
Guest Heneage
Erding is just left field enough for us. Cherfa seems weird, Us and Leeds is quite the broad spectrum.

Guest Heneage
Do you speak French and Spanish Nut? Very impressed. I would expect the same kind of left field signings we've seen the last few windows. Lots of lower league scouting for potential players.
