That his friend who works at the club told him we've agreed a deal with a Rennes winger or somesuch, who people quickly deduced was this guy. More excellent journalism beneath, this time from the Daily Star: Fabregas was correct when he said Mason has not reported him, but Everton playmaker Mikel Arteta accused his fellow Spaniard of a “bad” tackle after leaving London with an ice-pack strapped to his knee. He said: “It was a bad tackle. But that happens on the pitch. People tackle.” Scathing stuff. Terrible. Also, 80's probably my favourite poster on here, when he bothers to post. According to Rennes fans forum "talented left footed, with a good technique and great passing. But he is injury prone." Adductor injuries in 09 meant he only played 5 league games, however he played 35 league games in 2010 and has played 10 league games this season. At the moment our best option for the left-wing is Ben Arfa, but that's a waste of his talents. He needs to be off the striker. However, it will require much from our new attacker. He must very industrious and able to keep the ball without losing it. If we buy Marveaux and Ireland, I see the following next year: New attacker HBA Marvenaux - Ireland - Tiote - Barton Enrique - Colo - NEW - Possible new? And Nolan does not make other players better. He's not distributing balls (as an offensive midfielder should do) leaving the offensive passing responsibility to a defensive midfielder and a winger. Nolan is extraordinary inside the box, but on the outside he's pretty mediocre. All this can be ascribed to his diet. The man got to do something with it. He's too fat resulting in him being too slow and not as mobile as he should be. And that irritates the hell out of me.. He's a PROFESSIONAL player for pete's sake. Howver, it's impressive that he's been able to bag 10 goals in that physical state. Imagine how good he could have been if he had lost some pounds. And the Sunday Sun understands that United have been offered Brazil striker Ewerthon – who was at Palmeiras until the middle of January – to help them through their current injury crisis. Pardew is giving serious consideration to a move for the 29-year-old, capped seven times by his country. But in the long-term United, bruised by accusations that they lack ambition for selling Carroll to Liverpool, are desperate to land Gervinho as a statement of their intent. The pacey Lille forward – rated at around £8million by the Ligue One side – is one of France’s top prospects after a first season that saw him hit 13 goals in 32 games. The 23-year-old, who can also play out wide, has attracted interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Napoli, but Newcastle believe they have a big chance of landing him in the summer, when he has just one year of his current contract left. While Gervinho would be an eye-catching signing, United have the more pressing issue of having just three fit senior strikers available until the middle of March. In response to that they are scouring the list of free agents, and former Borussia Dortmund man Ewerthon, who has La Liga experience as well, is among the names to catch Pardew’s eye. “He is on our list. indi Posted February 8, 2011 Share Posted February 8, 2011 think it is time for a change regarding 3pm saturday games - all premiership matches should be available to watch, even if only via online packages. everyone is already doing it with the various streaming sites, but i would pay £10 or £15 a month to watch newcastle games on a good quality stream with little/no delays. I'd say £10/£15 is too cheap. The charge per game would have to be the price of the cheapest match day ticket. It's all moot anyway as Sky would never allow it to happen. They'd LOVE it to happen! Never heard of sky.com? Loads of people would fuck their £50/month Sky package off though, so they'd be down. I don't get how sky having even more matches and therefore an even bigger grip over the game ends up with them losing money? I just mean that in general people get skanked by Sky because the sports package makes up about 80% of the sub cost. They make you take a load of shit you might not want to get the football. Overall you're probably right, but I can imagine a lot of people would get rid of Sky altogether if they could just follow their own team every game for a third of the price. Sorry, totally forgot about this thread. What I'm getting at is that if such packages were released by the Premier League then it would undoubtedly be Sky who would end up with the rights to the majority and therefore they would come up with a way of ensuring that the made even more money than they do already.
