YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS  :celb: :celb:

Surely Leeds aren't thick enough to do that?

What next?  Viduka, Kewell?!

Isn't that just based on Grayson's speculative comments the other day?

Leeds United are trying to bring Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer and Alan Smith back to Elland Road, skysports.com understands.

So no.

What the hell they can join the french revolution like us and get olivier dacourt back in!

This is just a brilliant masterplan...Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds!

Another one of the lads behind the great spirit in the squad being moved on, I don't think the club can handle the player power.

You mean being saddled with MASSIVE wages for little return...in Smiths case anyway.

Tbf Bowyer would be a good move, Woodgate would absolutely rape any forward in the league for the 4-5 cameos he will make at the end of a game, and Smith... actualy fuck Smith.

The problem with Woodgate is, though, that 'impact defenders' are hardly needed.

Seriously though Woodgate COULD be a great signing, he has strung together a few random 30 game seasons amongst his injuries, so they may be lucky. Obviosly his wage would have to be VERY heavily appearance based, something like 10k a week basic wage, with 20-30k extra based on appearances and clean sheets (numbers plucked out of my arse), with a raise based on promotion.

At the very least he'd boost there FIFA rating...

Bowyer's a hasbeen, Smith's a never-hasbeen and Woodgate's a crock.

That said, I'd take Woodgate on a pay as you play deal or something massively incentivised towards appearances. He's a tremendous defender and at 30 he SHOULD still be at his peak.

Bowyer would be one of the best midfielders in that league and could get quite a few goals, even at his age. Birmingham should have tried to keep him.

Woodgate is a world class centre half still but is pure perma-crock.

Smith's well....

Bowyer will be a good player for Leeds, though. Obviously no one at Leeds has actually watched Smith in the last 6 years.

Smith IS A CHAMPIONSHIP`PLAYER. He'd be great at Leeds!

He was shit in the best team the CHampionship has ever seen, what makes you think 2 years later he'll do well in an average Championship side?

He's fucking pathetic, hope they sign him soon.

That's what woodgate turned down at Spurs I believe.

But, as time goes by and nobody offers him a better deal, he's more likely to take whatever's on offer. Plus even if fit he might not play at Spurs, meaning he'll not get paid much. At Leeds, if fit he'll play for certain.

Also it needn't be a pure "pay as you play", it could be a low basic with high incentives for appearances. Clubs would be fucking mental to pay someone with his history a high basic salary.

Can't recall Smith playing in Reading's 2005/6 team.

Agree with the sentiment though.
