ponsaelius
I don't understand for one moment how Cahill and Parker are 'enforcers'?
SUPERTOON
Just need to sign Gary Cahill, flog off Walcott for someone abit better and they will be back up there imo. Get the feeling next season will be Wenger's last... I have NEVER rated Walcott. Being quick doesn't make you class. If they brought Given, Cahill, Parker and Carroll, they'd win the league hands down. Yeah, sign some average British/Irish players and they'd be invincible... I agree about Cahill to an extent, but Parker would be MILES out of his depth at Arsenal man Carroll's a pointless suggestion. Thing is though, some British or Irish cloggers is just what they need. They have no plan B to circumvent teams parking the team bus in front of the goal. They are a team of lightweight bottlers who are sublimely talented but easily hoofed into orbit. Temper that with a couple of 'enforcers' and you'd have an excellent side. This. Don't think they need cloggers at all tbh. Man Utd don't have them and they are going to win the league. Chelsea don't have them and they have won it three times.
Mr. Snrub
Sebastien Frey, Neven Subotic and Simon Rolfes would give Arsenal the back bone they need and turn them into genuine challengers. Paying way over the odds for Cahill, Parker etc would turn them into an even bigger joke.
Guest neesy111
If Arsenal signed Parker I'd LOL for quite a long-time. Nothing like the player then need, may as well get Gareth Barry signed.
Taylor Swift
They need to press and defend better. They need a new LB and a CB. They're good enough everywhere else to win the title. If you don't trust me, just watch how they dominate possession against teams like Man Utd and Chelsea. They need better and stronger defenders. Interpolic
Don't see why Given to Arsenal is such a mad suggestion mind. Not that it means a lot but the jokers on Soccer Saturday were talking like Given to Arsenal or Spurs this summer was a foregone conclusion the other week. Taylor Swift
Frey? Get Neuer. He's a goner for sure. This Polish kid looks good enough to me anyway. The thing that would benefit them the most would be keeping van Persie fit because he's the key.

Guest neesy111
Arsenal need experience though, as the current squad has fuck all experience of #winning any trophy.
johnnypd
even though he is their best player they should sell Fabregas. get a silly fee for him and use it to rebuild. they won't win anything with the current set up, and anyway, nasri showed at the start of the season that he's good enough to take the attacking midfield role. once fabregas returned and nasri was given a different role his form dipped. fabregas's continual barca shite probably has a negative effect on the side anyway. the eto'o suggestion is a good one - experienced, big game player, leader on the pitch and still really, really good. they also need some more physical presence for when RVP is injured/sulking/bullied out of the game (which amounts to around 50% of all matches when added up), someone like lukaku, cavani, barrios, gomez. something like this might work as a forward three: eto'o/RVP Lukaku/RVP Walcott/Arshavin Walcott and Arshavin are only good enough to be rotated players rather than first choice XI, let them battle out for one position, also switch RVP wide as he's not really got the presence to lead the line. so that's the attack sorted...now they can start on the defence. too bad someone like chris samba wasn't available to be transferred in january... oh wait... Goalkeeper is actually not their biggest issue now and Szczesny is just as good as Given in most areas imo and superior in some others.

Thespence
Poor Arsenal struggling in 3rd place, league cup runners up even though he is their best player they should sell Fabregas. get a silly fee for him and use it to rebuild. they won't win anything with the current set up, and anyway, nasri showed at the start of the season that he's good enough to take the attacking midfield role. once fabregas returned and nasri was given a different role his form dipped. fabregas's continual barca s**** probably has a negative effect on the side anyway. the eto'o suggestion is a good one - experienced, big game player, leader on the pitch and still really, really good. they also need some more physical presence for when RVP is injured/sulking/bullied out of the game (which amounts to around 50% of all matches when added up), someone like lukaku, cavani, barrios, gomez. something like this might work as a forward three: eto'o/RVP Lukaku/RVP Walcott/Arshavin Walcott and Arshavin are only good enough to be rotated players rather than first choice XI, let them battle out for one position, also switch RVP wide as he's not really got the presence to lead the line. so that's the attack sorted...now they can start on the defence. too bad someone like chris samba wasn't available to be transferred in january... oh wait... Gash
We wouldn't need to sell Fabregas to rebuild we have the money. They problem is i look at the squad and it's class it just doesn't 'click' on pitch which perhaps is the playing style Szczesny Sagna-Djourou-Vermaelen-Clichy Wilshere - Song Walcott - Cesc - Nasri RvP is quality. It's just fucking annoying, there's something, playing style perhaps i don't know. I honestly couldn't say a player there that i would replace in the summer. Cover for Song, perhaps another CB of similar ability to Vermaelen and Djourou to play back-up. That's about it. It's difficult. ARHAGnsgnkjsagn, asfnjkafnsjkllknjasfnkjsa. It's a team of bottlers and severely over-hyped players which has been proved time and time again over the last 4 years. The full-backs are the biggest weak link. Paying way over the odds for Cahill, Parker etc would turn them into an even bigger joke. Why would those players bring leadership? Vermaelen captained Ajax and he didn't take charge of the back line. They need a real overhaul tbh way too many players who are mentally weak. 1878
Arsenal need at least one proven quality Premier League centre half. Probably two since Vermaelen seems quite injury prone. Djourou & Koscielny are just nowhere near good enough. If they played for say, West Ham or Wigan, then you wouldn't look twice at them. Jagielka would be perfect for them but they won't get him. They already failed to sign him last summer (probably because Wenger won't pay the going rate) and since then Jags has recently signed a long-term deal. Cahill is probably the next best option and I would imagine he is more attainable since he is stalling on a contract. Samba would be cheaper again and is a solid, no-nonsense centre half. Cahill & Samba would also give them a much needed goal threat on set pieces. Clichy has gone rapidly downhill in the last couple of seasons and needs replacing. Not sure Gibbs would be consistent enough to be that man despite his daft England call ups. I just can't see them paying big money to sign a proven performer like Baines (worth about £20m imo), Enrique (£15m-ish) or someone from abroad though. A striker of similar quality to RVP is a must. He spends a big chunk of every season injured. Goalkeeper is an area they need to improve. Whether Chesney is good enough to be number 1 is debatable, he looks a big talent but a more experienced player would be desirable. At the very least though, they need better back-up options to the lad than Almunia and Fabianski who are both shite. In midfield they haven't got much quality on the left with Arshavin and Rosicky flattering to decieve. Probably more pressing a need is a defensive midfielder. I rate Song highly but when he's out, who comes in? There's nobody to do that job. You're looking at a summer of big changes with 6 or 7 players needed and a similar number shipped out if they want to win the title imo. 99.9% likely Wenger won't even dream of doing that though. He's deluded.
