Sifu
Didn't expect him to play any part in our last 3 games anyway. I look forward to seeing him in action during pre-season!

Guest
If we hadn't signed him in January would people be saying forget about him the same way they have done with Ireland?
David Icke - Son of God
Absolutely no point in risking him. The last thing we want is for him to break down during a token league appearance and miss some or all of preseason. Barton's form this season is testament to what a full summer can do for your fitness and form.
Conjo
Would be nice to see him get 2-3 minutes in the last home game.

Lush Vlad
They should have said a long time ago he won't be risked this season. His comeback has been put back so many bloody times it's become tedious.
Guest BooBoo
Highly predictable.

Then last 4 or 5 games, then Liverpool, then Birmingham, then the last 2 games, then never!!!! hehehe
Mr. Snrub
Realistically I didn't want him risked this season, but at the same time I would have loved a wee cameo appearence on the last day. No doubt he'll do the lap of honour after WBA with the rest of the lads.

lovejoy
blessing in disguise, never so the point in bringing him back for the last 3 games personally. also lets the club trot out the 'like a new signing line' in the summer.

Incognito
No surprise. Slightly disappointing though. It is especially when we have one player returning from injury who is the antithesis of HBA.
Beren
The rest of the team aren't playing again this season, anyway. His return was the only real thing left to look forward to this season.

JH
and Pardew did say "He might be available/play" or something like that. Not "Ben Arfa WILL play in those games"
Ameritoon
It's not a blessing in disguise. We were only going to play him if he was fit enough, and it was always going to be better for him to get a few run outs before next season. Not surprised, and glad we're not risking him when he's not ready, though.
