Scandal, what scandal? ???

EDIT: Ah, he was a witness in that Ribenaberry sex scandal thing.

Witness in the same way Martin Woods was a witness to Ben Alnwick scandal?

Wanking in the corner wearing nothing but a Pringle jumper?

:pow:

How would he fit into our starting XI?

Guthrie out. Barton and Nolan CM. Ben Arfa behind Carroll. I think Hughton would do this.

I'd play Guthrie ahead of Nolan personally.

Me too. But I doubt Hughton will.

Barton/Guthrie midfield isn't strong enough though.

If we go ahead with Carroll+3 attacking players (Jonas/Routledge/Ben Arfa) then ideally we need 1 very defensive midfielder, ideally with a big physical presence in some way. None of our midfielders offer this.

I know it would be nice, but we seriously can't attack Manu too much on OT, that just wont work out imo

Very true.  I think that parking the bus is the only option we have that will get a good result for us.

(a good result would even count as a close defeat atm)

Park the bus? Park the tank and A-Team tbh. Don't think it'll matter what we try - Man U will win.

We're not good enough to try and defend the game out anyway. We might as well try and play a bit IMO.

Sunderland did alright trying that.

Yep. We don't have the players like Inter had last season for example, who could play like this against Barca.

The more we keep Man Utd in their half the better.

If we could "waste time" by keeping the ball like we did against Rangers then i think we can have a good chance on hitting them on the counter.

Question will be if the team has the "balls" and the calmness to do that.

I`m not saying we should just stay with 11 men in our on half but i can't think that it is a good idea to go all out against Manu.

A similar performance as the 1-1 draw two seasons ago should do the trick, counter attack and try to keep the ball when we have the chance and not just hoof the ball all the time.

The Rangers game gave me some hope really, but Manu is not a team equal to Rangers though  :undecided:

But if we go out settling for not losing so much we will get hammered.

Cracking insight.

This.

Afra would be deadly just behind the striker. Fingers crossed this goes through without any MA madness.

                  Harper

  Perch  Colo  Campbell    Enrique

Routlege  Guthrie  Barton    Jonas

                  Ben Arfa

                    Carroll

would be a decent side.

would be even sexier.
