Cheshire Mag
Vieri? Vieri at Boro? No, wasnt Maccarone either, think I must have dreamt it up!
Guest Heneage
Christian Marinelli is the only other Italian Boro legend.

Tooj
Aye, might be, seem to remember them having an Italian striker in the mid/late 90's though, not Ravanelli, btw. Marco Branca wasn't it?

ponsaelius
Cassano to Milan now. FFS.
ponsaelius
Two of my favourite players in Zlatan and Cassano, both joining Milan. Depressing, the bastards. Hopefully it will fall through or something, like his Viola move

ponsaelius
Berlusconi says Ronaldinho is better. Dinho is going to Gremio, isn't he?
Guest Heneage
I dunno you tell me Mr Best Football Poster. I think this deal all but confirms Ronaldinho will leave. Money in Brazil is quite high now so they should be able to afford his wage demands. I'd also be amazed if they don't sell Pato in the summer to fund the new back line they now need. I just found it hilarious Milan's owner says his current player is better than the one they've just bought.
ponsaelius
How the flying f*** are they going to fit Cassano, Robinho, Zlatan and Pato into one line-up? It's insane. They're fucking signing all my favourite players though. Only a matter of time before they swoop for Enrique and Carroll.
Guest palnese
Pato - Cassano - Robinho Zlatan Simples.
Village Idiot
Lots of tracking back and workrate in that front 4.
ponsaelius
Pato - Cassano - Robinho Zlatan Simples. That would never work in a billion years, man. Zlatan, Cassano and Robinho would spend the entire time dropping into midfield, looking to create, only to then stand and admire their own passes once attempted. There's essentially 3 playmakers and a wide-forward there, ffs. You'd then be leaving the creaking legs of Gattuso, Pirlo or Ambrosini to hold for that lot... Guest Heneage
They'll get away with it though because of the slow pace in Serie A. I'd imagine if they do keep Pato they'll sign KPB and possibly go for someone in the mould of Tiote/Lass Diarra.
TaylorJ_01
Lass Diarra would fit perfectly there. Good, pacy, covering defensive mid for the 4 lazy, flamboyant attackers. 4-2-3-1, easy.
ponsaelius
Still don't think it would work, they have no real finisher or target man in there. (It's worked for the majority this season in a 4-3-3 and relying on Zlatan being a one man team again)
Guest Heneage
Still don't think it would work, they have no real finisher or target man in there. Zlatan? He played that against Man United 2 seasons back with good success. Even if he isn't a target man the strength of that is the fact they essentially will move freely around the pitch. If they can gain a good understanding as an attacking unit it could be unstoppable. Essentially it will be a case of when it's good it's really good, but when it's bad it's really bad. bodson
Dont forget they have Pippo Inzaghi (injured atm) and Ronaldinho aswell. Expect Ronnie to leave in january though. Insane strikeforce!
ponsaelius
Inter have had 43 seperate injuries this season. 43 Yet suddenly the entire squad is fit and available for the Club World Championships? There's rabbit off here like, the players clearly hate Rafa and wont play for him - so hopefully the rumours of his sacking are true.
Dinho lad
Rafa sacked? Not surprised if it is true. He's probably the luckiest manager to win the CL in recent times.
Ronaldo
Nowt lucky about being 0-3 down against Milan.
