Its more the awful side we've got out thats worrying. A few injuries this year and this is the shower that will be taking on sides a lot better than PSV. I know this is only a friendly but if Hughton insists this season on continuing his square pegs/round holes tactics then we'll pay the consequences. If you dont have any wingers available, why on earth choose 442? It seems like June and Crapello all over again. Theres no real basis to suggest we'd be doing better otherwise though. How do you know for sure unless you try? You need to assume the current formation wouldnt be better than the alternatives to want to try them. He obviously thinks it would be. Maybe thinks we'd get overun in midfield with 3 in the middle, lua lua hasnt really ever stepped up, vuckic played yesterday.
