Guest bmoregeordie
can we give him the #9?
JUICE690
I'd like to think, with the copius amounts of money we received for Carroll, we shouldn't (the board shouldn't) feel the need to ship out any of our other better players I'd at least like to think that. Guest Tdeans
I've got it... that picture that used to be ethigeordie's avatar with Andy Carroll and God. Something can almost definitely be done to that. Oh hopefully
S.S.R.
This may be utter drivel, because I've come back drunk, but just imagine we had a player like Tiote during the season we blew the 12 point lead, instead of Clark and Batty. We'd have walked the title.

The Prophet
Should at least attempt to tie the lad down on a new deal with an improved wage.

Oh defo.Hopefully he may be more of a geordie than Judas Carroll, in fact he might become the citys adopted son. But only if he dont leave.
Interpolic
Do people think he's anywhere near as good as Michael Essien? Smallprint: who went for about £24m before he'd even cemented his reputation as a top player at Chelsea.

Unlimited potential, a bit like Carroll.

Smallprint: who went for about £24m before he'd even cemented his reputation as a top player at Chelsea. Anywhere near... He's BETTER. Considering the players his playing with, the fact that he's able to unlock defences like Essien did without the support seems to indicate that Tiote is better than Mikey
S.S.R.
Tiote will go for more than Carroll. There'll be a bidding war over him.

Guest Tdeans
The reason I think Tiote might stay is that top teams in the prem already have players like himin the posisitions and thus wouldnt try to buy him for the copious amounts that they would pay for the likes of Carroll as they already have decent (though not as good) players in his position. If he starts chipping in with goals, learns that he can't dally on the ball at times and stops picking up needless bookings then he's genuinely got it all though imo. Delighted that he's playing for us.

The fact that he seems to be teaching others also is good. I do agree with the fact he needs less bookings but a few more goals?? What about today LOL/

If he can start scoring a handful each season then he's an even handier player.

Guest Geordiesned
Just in case you don't read the footy chants thread To the tune of "That's Amoure" by Dean Martin: When you're facing a rout, and you're 30 yards out, Cheick Tiote! From the Ivory Coast, squeezed just inside the post, Cheick Tiote! He left Cesc Fabregas, lying flat on his ass, Cheick Tiote! When we made it 4-3, he said leave it to me, Cheick Tiote!
