Interpolic
Hmm, as much as I like Shola he's never hit the heights in the career at all, hardly even came close. Whereas we have came close quite a bit over the last 20 years.
Ronaldo
What happened to HTT? It's like watching Shearer become an old carthorse.

JH
Shola Ameobi typifies NUFC for me. The two are intrinsically linked and symbolise one another. What in the fuck?
Anderson
I agree. We're mint, Shola's mint; simples.

cubaricho
All joking aside though, Shola has to be one of the most likeable dudes at the club. Like HTT says, he literally is this club - through and through. He does personify the club; sometimes he's shit, sometimes he's incredible, but ultimately he's here and he's Newcastle, there is no getting around him because he is ever present as is the club in Newcastle. We're never getting rid of him and I don't think that we should.
ATB
The problem is still that he is the third striker. He should at the most be a forth choice.
alexf
Maybe we are TOO intrinsically linked to shola and in order to full fill our potential we must sever all ties. <<<<<<<<<<what am I saying. Forgive me Shola.

ujpest doza
I must be in the minority on here but in the majority in the real world as I and everyone else I know or talk to hates him
Cajun
I must be in the minority on here but in the majority in the real world as I and everyone else I know or talk to hates him Out of interest, why? He has never picked himself, played through numerous injuries when needed, scored some big goals (including against the mackems) and has never been one of those wanker footballers that drags the club through shit. Don't understand why anyone would hate him
Jack Flash
He was my least favourite player for many years. He was even more frustrating than Obertan will ever be. The majority of this thread has more anger in it than most others.
