taxfree
5 years @45k per week. Mental. 4m is an ok price, provided it goes on Matuidi/Gardner rather than Ireland. I love Nolan, but I really wish West Ham stays down. Bitterness at it's worst. And of course - Allardyce is in charge.
SteveMc
£4m. I'm sure that will transform our summer spending. Not the point though is it? It's all about the quality, balance and depth of the squad you are left with. Not what you do with the 4m in fee and wages freed up. Simplistic thinking David
Disco
Unless they're going to buy Andy Carroll next, £4m is more than he's worth. Carlton Goals to the rescue!

AyeDubbleYoo
The club can't just ignore £4m and wages over that many years. It's not an insignificant amount.

midds
Unless they're going to buy Andy Carroll next, £4m is more than he's worth. Funny word 'worth' tbh. His worth to West Ham is huge if he performs like he did in 09/10. His worth to us last year was huge (goals wise). His 'value'? That's another thing entirely. Guest BooBoo
£4million? So that pretty much breaks us even again for the summer. We have £35million in the bank and I still think we'll make a profit this summer.
MyPalAl
Am I missing something? At £4m I think we have shafted WHU
Guest
£4m in the bank and about £5m saved in wages over 2 years. That's Cabaye paid for for 2 seasons.
Leazes1986
How much were people expecting? He's 29 year old, won't sign a contract less than 5 years (apparantly) and he's a player who looks like he might start really struggling in a year or two, he already struggles against teams with a lot of energy who pass the ball around. Guest JS
Am I missing something? At £4m I think we have shafted WHU I think you're missing something, aye, a measly 4m for our club captain. He might as well have bloody stayed or the board give him a longer fucking contract for that much
TRon
Am I missing something? At £4m I think we have shafted WHU I'd have gladly taken £3million that we originally turned down.
Stifler
£4m is a good fee, that means we now have Cabaye for nothing and we go ahead in the summer with a replacement and all our original funds left.
Dokko
LukeEdwards0 Luke Edwards Kevin nolan once told me he loved everything abt playing 4 #nufc! Obviously nothing an extra 5k a week & a long contract can't change #whfc Loves the club man, would die for it etc...

S.S.R.
Am I missing something? At £4m I think we have shafted WHU He's served his purpose and we got the fee back. What were they expected to do; sign him on for as long as he wants and accept diminishing returns? No place for sentimentality - we need to make progress. Some of you would have rather we kept Gavin Peacock and David Kelly.
