As I remember it, he did well to keep Coventry up as long as he did before they eventually went down. Did a great job at Soton & was the most successful Celtic boss since Jock Stein. Boro is his only failure. On paper it looked like a good appointment for them and a good route back to the Prem for him. Just never worked out for whatever reasons.
