Newcastle United 1 - 2 Blackburn - 10/11/10 - post match reaction from page 29

Anyone noticed the lack of subs Hughton has been making in recent games.  Is this due Hughton not trusting those on the bench?

possibly but the standard on the bench is pretty poor. An off form Routledge, a untried Ranger, a not up to it Lovenkrands/Guthrie.

Then should we be in the transfer market in January then?

The sales of Best and Smith will raise a couple of million.

Definitely we needed more players in the summer. We need a 3rd striker (not a target man) and someone else for the wings if he isn't trusting Routledge. If HBA is out for the season maybe a loan replacement for him. Will probably all depend on who is yet to a sign a new contract and has one that runs out in the summer.

We really don't know how to play sides who play like Stoke and Blackburn.

haven't got enough creativity to open them up.

Once we realise our away tactics won't work, we're fucked. Chris has no Plan B for us.

This. But if we remain in the top half in January, will the fat man get his wallet out?  :mystery:

Wor bogey team like.

Normal service will begin again shortly- Although it is disappointing.

I can't see what else Chrissy could do in terms of formation. Also it looked like the entire team carried Tiote. IMO Smith should have replaced Tiote with 25 mins to go. the only other option was to go 451 but that would have just cancelled things out.

Nice to see that we tried to keep a formation and play football but, we were found needing in the maturity department with Nile ranger

I'll get worried if we lose on saturday, but would be typical for NUFC to put in a performance like this.  Must respond on saturday.

Just sums us up. We were on the other end of what we did to arsenal in the first half, we were too laid back and they were in our face all the time, never letting us get going. We gave away two stupid fucking goals and so many people had a bad game. Tiote had a fucking nightmare. They were shit as well, must be pissing themselves at that. Oh, and shola must have had his horlicks again.

The entire team carried Tiote

Carried Nolan more like. Fat Sam flooded the midfield to take advantage of Nolans defensive deficiencies and general lack of mobility, and also to take advantage of Barton tucking in from the right. Tiote has been doing the work of two men in there. Today it was just too much for him.

jonas was wank tonight, provided 0 crosses. Drop him for ferguson at home.

wrong.... but he's still the jonas of couple seasons ago, imo.

Agreed sadly, the guy just puzzles me.

Who are the scapegoats tonight then? Williamson thread has been bumped so I assume him, any others?

Carroll, only scored one goal. England call-up going to his head already.

And Ranger is a cunt for not being the finished article.

Truly infuriating, why do we have to make it hard for ourselves by being so complacent and throwing away the easiest games in our calender. We played against a team who lined up to defend, and still managed to concede twice to long ball merchants, and now BSA seems justified and can play the 'I should have been given time' record because we can't just go out and play with the confidence and effort of our away games.

To top it off, Sky have jumped on Barton's back because of a daft moment, Tiote's made a daft mistake and is now missing for a game against a Fulham side who are twice as dangerous as Blackburn and with an equal bogey feeling about them.
