Ketsbaia Posted November 10, 2010 Share Posted November 10, 2010 i've been away all match, but it was sadly predictable they'd do this. 5 times in a row, man!!! not too disheartened though, although its clear that blackburn and stoke styles dont sit well with us. the big problem is being without tiote on saturday. what did barton do, by the way? is he likely to miss saturday? i'd take a point now, like. Is this due Hughton not trusting those on the bench? possibly but the standard on the bench is pretty poor. An off form Routledge, a untried Ranger, a not up to it Lovenkrands/Guthrie. We need a 3rd striker (not a target man) and someone else for the wings if he isn't trusting Routledge. If HBA is out for the season maybe a loan replacement for him. I can't see what else Chrissy could do in terms of formation. Also it looked like the entire team carried Tiote. IMO Smith should have replaced Tiote with 25 mins to go. the only other option was to go 451 but that would have just cancelled things out. We were on the other end of what we did to arsenal in the first half, we were too laid back and they were in our face all the time, never letting us get going. We gave away two stupid fucking goals and so many people had a bad game. Tiote had a fucking nightmare. They were shit as well, must be pissing themselves at that. Desperate lack of spark/creativity out of there. 6 defenders for Blackburn though, they didn't give much space for much creativity. Fucking horrendouslly negative tactics, but they got chances and took them. Aye but aside from Jonas and Jose we have noone who drives at the defenders with the ball which is where HBA would be useful. Oh I agree with you on that. Fat Sam flooded the midfield to take advantage of Nolans defensive deficiencies and general lack of mobility, and also to take advantage of Barton tucking in from the right.
