Yorkie
God could the job be any more fucking unappealing? I've just got zero hope, man. The new man would have to be a mug, it's as simple as that. Just like Pardew and Carver was/are. The fact that we're still, technically, in a transitional period in the post of Pardew's departure, means I'm still vaguely happier than I was under the silver twat. But by fuck it's marginal. Carver isn't a cunt like Pardew, but he's probably more comical. Somehow that puts him higher, by a cat's cockhair.
Guest reefatoon
Carver is just as big a cunt as Pardew for me. He comes out with even more annoying shit than Pardew. Both on equal cunt footing for me.
Collage
The fact he's talking about 'assistant manager contract' offers a bit of hope.... It also suggests that any new man would have the current staff forced on him - that's not likely to go down well with many decent candidates. Exactly. We can forget about Garde. And anyone else. Hughesy
Lee Ryder @lee_ryder 27m27 minutes ago Thomas Tuchel is understood to be on Hamburg's wanted list. Tuchel was thought to be open to #nufc head coach role. LUL Would genuinely lose it if we had passed up the opportunity to get Tuchel in.
r0cafella
We could easily have got him on a pre-contract imo. Would have made Carver bearable at the least, but nah, we've waited and will appoint Carver Aye it's a fucking joke we don't have someone in place on a pre contract agreement. Waiting for the we tried line to be rolled out a lot this summer

Waiting for the we tried line to be rolled out a lot this summer If they appoint Carver I do wonder what it would take to finally alienate our fucking fans like. Carver would be the biggest slap in the face seen football since, well, since Kinnear was appointed both times I suppose. It would be a fucking preposterous appointment based on nothing but him being cheap and obedient. How you could sit at the first home game knowing they'd appointed this clown is just beyond me. Deuce
Carver said after the game: “I’ve got a contract until the end of the season, then my assistant manager contract kicks in if they don’t want me to take over for the rest of next season or the following season. So, they could extend his tenure through next season, allowing them to keep saying, "oh we're still looking for that long-term guy!" while continuing to do nothing. NG32
What apointless 8 years of AShley running the club, then we have had Pardew, Lambias, Kinnear, Carver, Charnley and a few other knackers trying to tell us otherwise. The club really is dying a slow painful death.
Guest Roger Kint
was there even any questions asked at the fans forum thing that remotely touched upon this subject? In the event the board should need to look for an external candidate in the summer for the position of Head Coach, the board would not have to start the process all over again due to the level of detail and work which went into the initial search. mosstef
I don't know how I can still support the club if the regime appoints Carver in the summer. They are not only killing my passion for NUFC, but my passion for football in general. I really don't give a shit anymore. I've even stopped watching other leagues, CL etc.
AyeDubbleYoo
I don't know how I can still support the club if the regime appoints Carver in the summer. I pretty much know I can't. I'm using the rest of this season as a way to wind it up. Strangely though, I actually watch more other teams that I did a couple of years ago. Deuce
Imagine interviewing for the position and being told you have to keep Carver, Stone, Woodman, et. al. on your coaching staff. Even ignoring the complete lack of competence among those particular coaches, you'd have to be completely desperate to accept a managerial position in which you weren't allowed to pick your own guys. For one, it rather blatantly suggests that your assistants have as much or more say with the bosses than you do.

AyeDubbleYoo
No professional who takes himself seriously would walk into that situation. Can't see someone like McClaren agreeing to it either.
