Kaizero
But they have low budget Ryan Reynolds as QB.
SEMTEX
Shockingly he's actually far more expensive than Ryan Reynolds.
LucaAltieri
You can jump on the bandwagon of any team so long as they weren't an MLS team 5 years ago. You can still claim to be getting on at the ground floor.
SEMTEX
Sounds good to me. Might keep hopping onto new teams until one of them actually tries to win a game or two.
LucaAltieri
Probably a good idea. I was at the Sounders/Union game on Saturday. Union is an awful side. Just spent 90 minutes trying to brute force the ball over the line. It was joyless.
Kaizero
But still, Union is as local a team as he can get in the MLS. And they're shit, so success will be sweeter. I get his love for Atlanta though. I have it for LA.
SEMTEX
It's not really even about how shit the Union are, it's about how fake it all feels. It's shit football at prices higher than it should be, in a fucking awful location and with owners intent on not really trying to compete. Still, 3 W 3 L = 2nd in the Eastern Conference, so there's that
Stifler
Thinking about getting tickets to see Toronto vs Montreal in Montreal for when I go over. The only thing is it's a long journey (probably a train), and would require a hotel for the night.
LucaAltieri
How badly do you want to see Drogba/Giovinco?
Stifler
I'm not going to bother, it's expensive as fuck. Tickets are cheap, but the train is going to cost over $200, and a hotel can cost between $100-$200. It's also the best part of a days travel each way as well, I'm doing a bit of travelling when I'm there, but I'm not giving up 2 days to sit on a train. cubaricho
Montreal is an incredible city. You could also get an Airbnb for much cheaper than that.

Ameritoon
MLS Detroit looking more and more likely. Finally announced that Tom Gores and Dan Gilbert are behind the recent push. I knew a few years ago the only way we'd be considered for a team is if Gilbert got involved and thankfully he has. The man might be a dick, but he's done more for Detroit than pretty much anyone, including the Illitch family. Really glad to see Detroit City make a statement and say they've been contacted about it, ideally they're the base for this team. Either way, very excited about it, it makes a lot of sense for both MLS and Detroit, it's hard to see it falling apart with those two behind the wheel. Sounds like they're getting a new downtown stadium too.
