If you haven't watch the unveiling of the Sir Bobby stand at Portman Road, it's on the tube in HD: "Sir Bobby Robson Stand Unveiling HD - Portman Road - Ipswich v Newcastle."   I cried the first time I saw it...fantastic video

His death also, imo, brought about bringing this club back together. The emotion of the fans, players, staff, etc shown around the time helped lift the gloom around the club and was almost as if his spirit and memory got everyone together again. RIP.

Can't believe he died over 18 months ago. Still feels like he's here. It really is like losing a close realtive.

Love you Bobby

I'll never forgive the little c*** for the way he treated bobby and us the fans.

Strange because I reckon Bobby did.

You know your right, still think he's a horrible little prick though. :)

Yep I was up there that day and it's not an understatement to say that many people had tears in their eyes when singing his name, one of few Newcastle managers that was genuinely liked by Sunderland fans despite who he managed.

A true North East legend.

Unfortunately I'll always remember, some, Sunderland fans' attitude towards Sir Bobby before he became seriously ill. :undecided:

Now isn't the appropriate time to discuss that though. Happy Birthday and RIP Sir.

You will always get that though, the vast majority of us all had a lot of time for him and indeed before he died he was a regular at our games.
