The Prophet
Barton has been a class apart this season. Glad to see Nolan playing at the same level he was last season. Btw, Tiote was s**** before he joined us.
Jack Flash
Best from last year and Coloccini from our last season in the PL.
RupertCommunicator
I've said Simpson, purely because I thought he was a Championship level player at the end of last season, and now he is a solid PL RB. I already new Barton was class, and he was class, for the first half of this season. Been pretty pants last couple of games though.
Skeletor
Best: Shite in the Championship, Decent in the Premiership.

I already new Barton was class, and he was class, for the first half of this season. Been pretty pants last couple of games though. I think he's a very average full-back, who doesn't really contribute anything while in possession, and backs off his man far too much. Although we have higher priority positions to look at in the summer, if there's a better option available than Simpson, then it's something we shouldn't dismiss. AyeDubbleYoo
Absolutely no way we will replace Simpson in the summer, we would just be wasting money that would be better spent elsewhere.

Hmm, I don't think it would take much money to get a better replacement for simpson, as I think his performances have been over-hyped.

Agree with Tooj, he backs off defenders far too much, not pulled for it on here (unlike when Steven Taylor does it).
Mr. Snrub
Barton. Notable mention to Best who's stepped it up this season and imo became our first choice striker. Well, if he wasn't crocked.
Dave
I'd say Simpson because for me he's consistently played at a level above what I expected from him. Barton's improved but he's only really reached a level we all expected from him in the first place. If Best had played a full season he would've probably snatched it but, he's played too little for me. Spot on IMO.

Cronky
If it was most improved over the last two years, Colo and Jose would be out on their own. I'm struggling a bit for this season. Barton is only back to the level that we'd expect. Simpson has improved but I'm still not convinced by him. I was hoping one of the younger players would come in and show some progress. Ranger has marked time, and the only one who I can really see has developed is Shane Ferguson.
Ronaldo
I think Williamson should be on that list for the same reason Simpson is.
Cajun
No longer plays for us. Aye. If you include the whole season, it has to be the one who left. Issues aside, no one can predict such a phenomenal improvement in just a summer. Current players-wise it's probably Simpson although he still has much to improve. We already know Barton could do so it is more of him fulfilling his past talent more than anything. He's only got good again since he went to QPR. midds
Simpson. Looks better this season than last which is bizarre. Barton and Best have looked very good this year too.
Tisd09
Simpson for me, he has improved as a player. Though I agree that Barton has massively improved his game this season for us, as a player though he has been better in his career. Nolan has found his peak again and proved me totally wrong. I really didn't think he would be effective in the Premiership.
