ponsaelius
Nice to see the Brazilian league is getting it's act together. In theory it should be one of the best in the world, but the lack of organisation has made it a joke. But lately the clubs are stumbling into money and bringing back players that aren't in the twilight of their careers. Would love to see that league become big. Would be pretty interesting to see some players go against the tide and head over there from Europe.
Ketsbaia
The Sun reckon Aston Villa are getting McDonald Mariga from Inter for £2.5m. Given, Mariga, Parker, N'Zogbia.....they could be a very decent team (not just those 4, of course!).

ponsaelius
£2.5 million would be a bargain but there's not a chance in hell Inter will sell him for that. Plus he didn't get work permit last time out.

Would be pretty interesting to see some players go against the tide and head over there from Europe. Can't think of many that have done that in recent times.....only Dejan "Rambo" Petkovic who has been great over there and erm....Jose Dominguez the ex Spurs player. There is a young English left back who has been playing over there in the lower divisions too. --- From Barnack to Brazil: English boy becomes a football star in Brazil after he is spotted by scouts on a school trip http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1245457/English-boy-football-star-Brazil-spotted-scouts-school-trip.html
Skirge
News coming out of Merseyside suggests that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is to make an audacious attempt to sign England left back Leighton Baines from rivals Everton. http://www.footie-online.co.uk/2011/07/liverpool-in-audacious-move-for-baines/2285/
Guest Stephen927
How come the BBC are resorting to using sources like Footie Online for their transfer gossip section? That section used to be a good read.

BrettNUFC
I actually reckon he'll do ok there. Yeah i don't like Cole and wouldn't be overly impressed if he signed for the toon for around 7 million but Stoke is the kind of club where he will look like a threat with their style of play.
