Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Recommended Posts

Is Kinnear in charge of our outgoing transfer dealings too, if he is negotiating prices with other clubs when we sell players then we are going to get shafted on any deals :(

"£6 million for that daft foreigner Yohan Kebabs? Deal".

I don't really see how it makes no sense like, they have about 3.5 players of any quality competing in the centre of midfield and will be playing in 4 competitions this season.

Because they have loads of quality CMs but no DM.

That's why it makes no sense.

Coming from the bloke who told me not but a week ago that teams "don't need a defensive midfielder", alright. And they don't have "loads of quality CMs" at all, they have Wilshire, Arteta and Diaby if Carzorla is out on the wing.

Buying Cabaye also doesn't mean that they cannot get a proper defensive midfielder in if they need to by the way.

When I say that I mean destroyers.

They do need someone else other than Arteta who can protect the back 4 with intelligence.

He'll be off. Sissoko is the replacement.

Oh well. :(

That mean the club has bought replacements before they sell? Well I never.

And they didn't bankrupt the club.......

Still, at least it's not like Mike Ashley's renowned for asset stripping before flogging things on for a vast profit.

If Cabaye goes, I hope it's a sign Ashley is getting ready to ship out for good.

As an outsider, I'd say 12m is an absolute joke.

It is interesting seeing what is happening so far this season - clubs insisting on big, big money before they'll move on their key players, and there seems to be less movement as a result.

12m? :spit:

Nice PR from Arsenal there not a chance of that even being considered.

Big profit like. I'd say £15m would get him.

15m is what I think he's worth.  He's nowhere near a 20M player based on last season.

Personally I don't think he's worth much more but given the lunatic factor attached to any PL to PL transfer he probably is.

Presumably nobody will complain if their bid is derisory and they just continue to unsettle him until it causes us problems btw.

It's amazing that multi-millionaire footballers can be so lacking in emotional resilience that being the subject of media speculation unsettles them so badly that their form goes to shit. It's almost like they're not worthy of the mega-bucks salary...

Why? Big profit.

I was going to say this as well. What did we get him for, £4 million? £12 could be good business in Ashley's eyes. One thing I'll say about that lot in charge is they do seem to get decent money when we sell, bar the odd case such as Given. I just hope it wasn't Llambias getting us the  good deals.

Weren't we apparently wanting 25m for anyone last summer or something? Can't see why that would change, especially this close to the window slamming shut.
