Still remember being absolutely devastated when that arsehole at Southampton wiped out Dyer just before the World Cup, when he was in his best form. Think he still squeezed into the squad in the end but was clearly still crocked.

El Khalej. I remember the ref (D'Urso I think?) clearly just saying to him, "That was a disgusting challenge" looking disgusted, holding up the red and barely looking at him.

You're making that up, like. There was a good solid 2 minute gap between the challenge and the red card. It was the linesman who convinced him to show a red.

The moment he shows the red he clearly says "that was a disgusting challenge".

Would like to see him at the World Cup. Must be his last chance and did well for us.

Same here. I don't blame him for wanting away from here, he was sold a lie. No technical footballer would play under Pardew for more than a year before getting pig sick and giving up on us going anywhere.

I was at the game. Whatever he said he wasn't sure about the red until he spoke to his assistant on the left.

I've got that 2001/2 video (yes video) imprinted in my memory. Might try and pick up the DVD on the cheap, loved it.

I don't hope he misses the WC, like. But at the same time I don't actively want much success for someone who tried to force his way out at the end of August. For Arsenal of all clubs.

A club that will pay him more, give him a chance to play in the champions league and show some ambition?

I can't think why a player wouldn't want to sign for them like.

Be careful now, your making far too much sense here.

I also like the suggestion that we shouldn't respect him for refusing to play under a manager and owner we fans roundly despise.
