Yohan Cabaye retires

Btw, can't find anything on Cabaye injured or is this ITK?

Not claiming to be ITK but it's from a mate (I know) who was down at the training ground today because he won a competition to be in the team photo (not the official one, but they're sending him it framed and that with him in). Anyway he was allowed to stay and watch them train, Cabaye went down and Carver called for the physio.

If it's balls and he's fine I'll hold my hands up for trusting this gadabout like. Also said the guide told them Ranger was looking for a new club, so.

tl;dr, MY SOURCES ARE REPUTABLE

Which one is he?

Can't stand the backlash, he has had an awful season so far but he was outstanding last season, he completed most tackles last season and was a great creative outlet. Hard working with a brilliant passing range. Yes poor start but he'll find his level again and is a brilliant player.

He's won as many tackles as Ben Arfa has completed dribbles

I think it's quite obvious that more often than not in 4-4-2 his role is different and is more of a defensive player intercepting passes, breaking up play.

It's not what i want to see him doing but he should still be praised for his defensive work as much as his passing and offensive play.

You would soon notice it when he's gone, the defensive work he does each and every game goes unnoticed IMO.

As poor as offensively he's been so far this season, his defensive work still remains to be top notch.

Hopefully just a precaution. Probably happens all the time in training.

I think people just get frustrated because everyone prefers to see a player like him threading through passes and dictating games from an advanced position. His defensive work is solid, but unspectacular.

The problem at the moment for me is that he's being used as a bit of a Jack of all trades and looking like a master of none, when we know that he is a master of one.

I'd go with Perch tbh, he was excellent at CM against Norwich. Bigi's got a full Europa-League-winning campaign to think about.

I suspect it'll be Tiote and Anita, though.

Till we remember that Anita seems to be better at RB and swap him and Perch, again

That always seems to be the case with Pardew. When he has an idea he always go with it, no matter how bad it works out. Fair play to him that he can chance things. But if it´s not worked 10 times in a row it won´t work the 11th time either.
