Thought his set pieces were decent (purely because they beat the first man ) Still think we've got a good player on our hands mind. There's no way I'm writing him off. This, could be half-hearted at times in defence, or pushing forwards. I think we'll see some real quality from his this year but we might have to wait a while. I think Pards should bring him on when he wants to kill matches instead of Obertan. Doesn't lose the ball much unless he looks for a long ball which isn't his first optin a lot fo the times,. He was just inside the box with a defender right on him; just a bit of flair to move the ball away from his man followed by a quick shot to the far post. Was just wide. It was a good bit of skill. Maybe due to his injury record. But he doesn't look motivated on the pitch. In term of talent, and regarding the current squad, I'm surprised he's still so far in the pecking order for PL games. Didn't Pardew say that his newborn child was unwell? It'll take time for him but he's got quality and I don't doubt that he'll show it on the pitch eventually.
