ExiledGeordie
Says 4 yrs at just above his current 55k a week with a slight reduction in the fifth year. I thought he was on 75k a week or something daft at the moment, maybe I've got that totally wrong though.
Guest sicko2ndbest
That's a very good offer for a 29 year old Will really piss Barton and Nolan off!
Christmas Tree
Thought he was immense again yesterday. Feel quite privileged to be watching this guy live.
Guest
That's a very good offer for a 29 year old Will really p*ss Barton and Nolan off! Coloccini will more than likely still be first-choice in 4-5 years, it's debatable they would have been within 1-2 years.
Guest
And if that's true I'd say it's a very fair and good offer.
mattypnufc
That's a very good offer for a 29 year old Will really piss Barton and Nolan off! Aye but unlike Nolan, Colo can actually run twelve yards...and unlike Barton he doesnt come with baggage.

Agree, wasn't saying it in a 'they should have got the same' sort of way Colo is a Rolls Royce/Fine wine of a defender who can play on for years Rio is getting found out now because a big part of his game wasxa bout pace. Colo has never had it. His brain is his best servant and that will only get better

alpal78
please please please If this is true, this could be the start of a collective orgasm on NO, or the beginning of a January sale. We all know that the club does not take too kindly to players negotiating hard and Colo has all the right to do so. I'm just hoping that if the deal is not up to his expectations, then he consider captaining the club, the great team spirit and our potential to progress under a stable setup as mitigating factors to accept a deal that he would otherwise turn down. Guest palnese
The Sunday Sun can reveal the offer is made up of four years at wages just above his current rate of around £55,000-per- week with an optional final year on slightly reduced terms. If he inks the contract he would be 35 when any new deal ran out. Ashley has fucking lost it. Barton and Nolan will be fuming
David28
Wasn't he always considered to be on something like 80k a week? Anyways, hope he'll sign the contract. Great captain, great leader and a great centre back.
Si
Get it signed Colo lad, be a great boost for the team and give us stability going into the next transfer window.

Hope he signs it, would be a brilliant move by the board.
Andy
The cynical side of me is slightly concerned that the press are "leaking" the details of the contract offer; it's very reminiscent of the way the Barton/Nolan/Enrique contract negotiations were reported... (Whereas the deals for Jonas/Tiote/etc seemed to just "happen".)
Foluwashola
Will be a proper gadgie by the time his contract ends. A class gadgie. Tekkers to die for.

(Whereas the deals for Jonas/Tiote/etc seemed to just "happen".) Yup. It's probably more exerting some pressure on his agent rather than preparing the fans for his departure - like those three were - but it's still worrying.
