Newcastle United 1-4 Liverpool - FT - Entertainers Charity Match

Recommended Posts

Stadium expansion and the naming rights have been donated to charity, ironically at the same time Mike Ashley registers Sports Direct as a charity and way to go out of paying taxes. So SJP's official name will be SportsdirectcharitysoIdon'thavetopaytaxes@SJP.

Joe Harvey did far more to this club than Sir Bobby did, he deserves a stand named after him more the SBR imo.

It's nothing to do with the actual club (transfer/stand name etc.)

The announcement is coming from an outside PR agency.

Indeed.  Details will be on our site at 6pm. We've been embargoed too!!!

So is it any good this news

Yes or No

I'd s*** my pants with excitement mind if it was sbrf summer tournament featuring us, Ipswich, Barça & Porto/Psv/sporting/England.

That would be brilliant

FTW that would be all kinds of epic.

It will be good for fans, but in no way related to current goings on at SJP.

Can't go into any more details otherwise I'll be lynched sorry.

Everything Ashley has done for the last 2 years are pointing towards the fact he wants to get rid of the club. Financially we should be an interesting target for investors again as the wage bill is under control. However I just can't see any sort of a takeover happening because Ashley's asking price would be too high and he would require the loan(150million) to be paid with the purchase I believe.

Not sure if I'd want Citeh sort of thing to happen anyway. Investing to youth is way much more reasonable way to go than just buy the best...

Just been listening to Total Sport from Monday and they mentioned in passing that there was going to be a NUFC channel on Freeview.  Not sure if that is the "big" announcement as it is not charity-related
