Can't wait for the extra month return delay, and the following few months of the lad trying to fight for his place against Ryan fucking Taylor.

HBA setback due soon too :fwap:

He had the inj initially in 2009 and was out for 2 months, it flared up again in 2010 and this will be his third knee surgery.

His career is moving smoothly into permacrock territory.

wouldn't be surprised if this injury is the reason we got such a previously hyped talent for a relatively cheap price. blasted italians.

Hopefully this means we will play a 4-5-1/4-2-3-1, for some more control in midfield, and support for the right and left backs. Since we cant do anything else than hoof the ball up. Retaining the ball has been a major problem so far, and i hope this is the way to go.

Anyway, get well soon Santon. And good luck to Raylor.

23 appearances in 2009/10 as an 18 year old, 29 appearances last season as a 19 year old.

Yeah, he's definitely 'injury prone'. Seems as though this is his only injured that might see him miss 7 or 8 games this season - which tbh is a pretty standard amount for a lot of players to miss these days.

When you consider that includes cup games, european games & internationals, so he only played in around half the games he could have in each season he's played, then that IS the record of either an injury prone player or one who isn't first choice. Due to his age I assume a lot was the latter, but the point is that those playing stats are nothing to shout about, and certainly don't show he's NOT injury prone.

Santon was a good signing, although obviously this is a blow. The real failure of Deadly Dekka was not signing Neil Taylor or someone equivalent to provide decent cover. If we decided against signing him because we felt that Shane Ferguson was going to provide the cover then get him in the fucking side. There is no way we should have to watch anti-football because we are forced to play cloggers like Ryan Taylor on account he can hit a decent free kick once in a while.

No way should Raylor be ahead of Ferguson.

We might actually use the full backs if Ferguson played.

More likely Pardew means back in training in 4 weeks, but will take 2 weeks plus building up his leg muscles, before he has a chance of playing.

As long as he is rehabilitated properly and they are carefull at times when he hasnt played much football , the injury shouldnt reoccur.
