Guest Wearside
Being a dorty southerner and all, im confused. Because youve changed your seating allocation for away fans, fans will lose police protection on one of the biggest derby days in English football? Yep, that is correct. It was very, very easy for Northumbria's finest to police from St Peters to the South Stand, it is the closest stand to any metro station. Now you are in the North Stand Upper and is a logistical nightmare from any metro station. If they still bring you from St Peters, you will get picked off all over the place having to walk past the east stand. If they bring you via Stadium of Light metro station, which is probably closer, you will have to pass the Colliery Tavern boozer. To my knowledge, their is no route which will put you out of reach of Sunderland fans picking you off.

Guest Wearside
Which means the police will just not bother protecting the fans? They can protect all they like, you will get picked off all over next game at the SOL. At present no home fan can get anywhere near because you have a walkway from the metro straight to the South Stand, this is about to change. You've obviously never seen the protection(or lack of it) that Sunlun fans get from Central Station to the Sports Direct Arena Obviously living down south you don't attend home games, seems a familiar story on this forum. Spider Jerusalem
Fucking jeebus - any wonder Sunderland is regarded nationally as a backwater full of knuckledragging fucktards if the reason that they're looking forward to the next home derby match is to try to beat people up. High Five o
Sounds like wireside are a little proud that there will be no protection and try to scare people about the prospect of going to SoL Of course it will be police to protect, no one send a couple of thousand civilized people to fucking Mogadishu without protection... And is there any different for the away fans at SJP, they walk past the stadium down Barrack road? Against the mackems last year it was shitloads of police there. If you think the police will just stand by and watch whilst mass brawls start across wearside you're a total spanner. Do you not think that a few isolated incidents of us poor mags being 'picked off'' would go without retaliation? Of course they wouldn't. And when that response happens, all hell will break loose and the police will steam in and sort it out. End of story. There will be no mass brawls or coordinated mackem 'pick offs' because a) the police wouldn't let it get that far and b) you cunts can't coordinate your fucking socks in the morning. Anderson
The we he goes on about the lack of protection at our place too, he's obviously never seen it either. There's never anything more than a bit of posturing from both sides and there's always a massive police presence so nothing could ever kick off. Also, the SoL is hardly an intimidating place to go, even on derby day. The streets are lined with inbred hicks staring in amazement at the "big yella howeses on wheels". That also reminds me of the dafties who stood outside after the 1-1 celebrating the score by showing 1-1 with their fingers, in retaliation to us doing similar with regards the 5-1 on the way in, much to the amusement of us all.
