huss9 Posted Sunday at 12:03 Share Posted Sunday at 12:03 easy fix. think VAR should call on offsides without the use of lines. its only then going to be called if its clear and obvious. only problem is we'll have Sky drawing lines for hours afterwards to prove them wrong. spudwiser Posted Sunday at 19:30 Share Posted Sunday at 19:30 Anyone else see the similarity between the Walker/Hojlund incident today and the Schar/Brerton-Diaz one at the beginning of the season?

Erikse
According to @Froggy Højlund should've been sent off. Edited 19 hours ago by Erikse

The rules mainly specify that the amount of force matters, hence why both should be yellow according to the rules.

Diaz was moving backwards. Walker was moving towards Hojlund also. Case closed Rod.

Cant believe they get away with it with cameras and var everywhere. The cheating in football needs to stop, and fans excusing it does not help. If you look at both replays in slow mo, it's pretty hard to justify a different outcome. Especially if you read the actual rules. Both Diaz and Walker also tilt their head forward. Both contacts are minor, hard to tell which one is softer. Is the outcome different because Walker throws himself later than Diaz? ChrisMcQuillan
They're as close to identical as it's possible to be. Red card for the Newcastle player, yellow card for the Manchester United player. That's how it works.
