Mole_Toonfan
Crock. More to do with Pardew bringing him back before he's fit tbh, its twice its happened now. Typical response. Always an excuse. Nah not really in both games when he came back from injuries he didn't look fit.
Hanshithispantz
Fucking hell, cannot believe this like. If it's any consolation this may be a huge reason for him to stay at us and finally get his full season in a functioning side next year. It's a shame he'll miss Europe, but ultimately the league is pretty dead now for us, seeing him play is just a bonus.

Hanshithispantz
Crock. How is he a crock? To my recollection this is the first major injury he's had that hasn't been inflicted by another player being a nob.
Lush Vlad
So we decided against the op. Tried to let him get fit for 3 months. Now he needs an op. What the fucking fuck? I'm sure we did this with Cabaye as well.

Interpolic
If he's out for half of next season I'm not sure I'd want him to stay, he's taking up a place in the squad and is on high wages. Love him to bits but it's getting very frustrating now.
Guest JS
Hasn't he just had an operation.. Didn't he see a specialist? I don't get any of this. I'm not blaming Pardew in this as I'm guessing the medical staff will have to declare him fit to play? When insurance etc comes into it there's no way they give full responsibility to Pardew. Just can't see it. I actually fear this could be the beginning of the end for him in a way - this doesn't seem straight forward and all of the time off the pitch is bound to have a huge negative impact

Yorkie
Why can't I have nice things? Been very reminiscent of Owen thus far. Huge excitement/disbelief when signed, made a brilliant start and looked absolutely top class, injured to fuck ever since - bar the odd spell. Fortunately he's not a cunt who resents the club, so hopefully he'll keep coming back stronger. Devastating nonetheless. Pray to God Cabaye isn't out for ages n'all. Mole_Toonfan
It's not Pardew's fault either like, he's not a f***ing doctor. Aye its the medical staff, its quite f*cking obvious that in both games ( Anzhi and Fulham) he wasn't fit and was brought back far too soon.

It's an injury which hasn't responded to the treatment we've tried, now it's time to try something else to finally fix it. But you'd rather sell him, at a drastically reduced price because of his injury, than see how the op pans out?
aussiemag
Isn't it a blood clot in his hamstring? I don't see how an operation is going to fix it.
huss9
he was also initially assessed by the medical team at clairefontaine, not just ours.

Can't see that ever happening and it's starting to get fkn frustrating. It's an absolute joke that he's missing out on the final stages of Europe, feels like it basically puts the kibosh on our already slim chances of winning it. Ketsbaia
I have a dream that one day he'll play for us again. Absolutely sick of these injuries, though
Eddy Chibas
And with each hamstring tweak, tear etc, so continues the accumulation of muscle scar tissue. And then you have the clean-up ops to try and correct that problem. This domino effect railroaded Dyer & Woodgate's careers re: their persistent upper leg muscle injuries. It's a concern tbh. Atleast a good ~30 games. He got his leg snapped by Nige, returned and then had his ankle done in by some Yank clogger. This is the first time he's had a genuine crock style injury to my recollection, save maybe a niggle or 2? It is frustrating that we haven't been able to see him consistently since he arrived, but I think people are looking solely at that point instead of looking at why he's been injured and why he hasn't played.
