Deserved lead but the 5-10 minutes after the goal shows the worry. Moyes is a naturally negative manager.

It's so fucking frustrating - everyone could see in that half we have the ability to play some very good football. Let the players go out there and get at their defence. Dropping the defensive line deep sounds good in theory when you're winning but we're not Baresi and Co.

You need to get Gibson off, liability.

Credit to the Mackems for keeping one whole section in the corner just so gingers can sit together.

:2funny:

This is going well so far, just need Spurs to win but not too comfortably, cant have them gaining confidence in the fight for 4th now can we  :pow:

He's been Sunderland's best player.

Said before, there are definitely parallels. An overly late substitution here and there will confirm it.

True, you have to make allowances for his nationality. But still.

Sunderland need a Plan B. Thus far they've had some success by sitting back and hitting teams on the break. Now they're behind that won't work and they've got to force the game and press. It'll be interesting to see if they can break Everton down AND keep things tight whilst throwing afew extra men forward trying to equalise.

Seriously, was that Sunderland's tactic from kick-off to launch a high ball at Sessegnon up against Distin? At least you can sort of understand it when there's a chance a big striker could win it but that's ridiculous.
