Stuy_O
it's all guesswork for Pardew. He's just hopeful like the rest of us.
AyeDubbleYoo
Honestly - why the holy fuck does he have to spew the 'over the line' crap... The single most annoying thing about him IMO. Well done for choosing one.
joeyt
Think this says we were in contact with ASSE for Faouzi Ghoulam http://www.dzfoot.com/article-2540-transferts-lille-songe-a-faouzi-ghoulam.php A left back. Strange

Teasy
Darren Fucking Bent is his number 1 target.. A 29 year old who was deemed not good enough to play for a seriously relegation threatened team desperate for goals last season. A man with less Footballing ability than your average horse. But never mind, he'll score goals if you put them on a plate. We should have no problem doing that with 10 men behind the ball and Ben Arfa on his own fucking goal line for 90 minutes. We should have no problem doing that with 10 men behind the ball and Ben Arfa on his own f***ing goal line for 90 minutes. Pretty much sums up the amount of self awareness Pardew has, I am honestly beginning to believe that calling Pardew an excuse maker or fraud is giving the man too much credit, honestly think he basically just lives in his own little world where football is still played like it was in the 80's. Stifler
I'd be happy with Remy and Bent however that would mean we would have to sell no one and I include the sales of Williamson and Shola in that.
Teasy
Shola?, but why?
Stifler
Shola?, but why? I'm saying if we sell Shola than even with Remy and Bent coming in we would need another forward as we would be weak in cover.
Ketsbaia
2 in, 1 out isn't that weak....arguably it's 2 in and 0 out
Stifler
2 in, 1 out isn't that weak....arguably it's 2 in and 0 out It would leave us ridiculously short in cover though. If we sold a midfielder we could probably get away with it but if we sell a CB or a forward then we would need to replace them alongside Remy and Bent. TaylorJ_01
But we'd be Shola-less. Just imagine

I don't know like, Cisse, Gouffran and Shola is very weak. But Cisse, Remy, Gouffran and Bent looks far far stronger (Though I suspect under Pardew it'll be Bent and 3 others unfortunately). . Mainly because Shola adds nothing at all, while as a sub even Bent adds something and Remys a quality forward.
thorin
Bent wants away because of playing time, no? Is he dumb enough to come here just to sit on the bench alà Shola #2?
J7
Bent and Remy wouldn't be my first choices, but we need numbers in now. Cisse, Bent, Remy and Gouffran would be a decent set of strikers for the season. Take away one of them and we're short. Shola doesn't count. We defiantly need another right back imo too. Tavernier isn't good enough to cover. Anita can, Santon can and Steven Taylor can at an absolute push, but we need someone to put a bit of pressure on Debuchy. A winger would be good too, but there doesn't seem to be a desire to sign one which is disappointing.
Skirge
Newcastle are keeping tabs on Olympiakos ace Rafik Djebbour as Alan Pardew looks to bring in two new strikers this summer. The 29-year-old caught the eye of Toon scouts last season as he bagged an impressive 20 goals in 24 games to finish as the leading goalscorer in Greece. Pardew could now be lining up a bid for the Algerian international, who is available for just £2.25million according to reports, while Marseille are also thought to be interested. Djebbour is under contract with Olympiakos until 2016 after recently penning a new deal, but the Greek side could still struggle to keep hold of him if Newcastle make a bid. Pardew also continues to be linked with a move for Aston Villa's want-away striker Darren Bent and a double swoop could be on the cards in the very near future. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/newcastle-united/pards-turns-to-greece-in-hunt-for-striker-1607650.html#.UeZDjY19T0E
