3 1/2 hours on a train from Amsterdam to Bruges for anyone thinking of getting the ferry.

Its only about 5 or so direct on the train isnt it?

Yeah, but your on the boat there and back and can stop by in Amsterdam.  Delightful.

There are 3 options in getting from Amsterdam to Bruges:

Change trains in Antwerp and again in Gent: 3 hours 31 minutes

(The first leg of this is sometimes on the high-speed Thalys train, and you have to get a seat reserved for it, which you can usually do the day before or even as you walk up)

Change trains only in Antwerp: 3 hours 44 minutes to 4 hours

(This is a bit slower because the connection between is longer)

Change trains only in Brussels: 4 hours

(This is also slower due to a longer wait for the second train)

Why do that when you party all night on the boat there and back. :)

Hour drive to Folkstone, Euro tunnel to Calais, Hour and a half drive to Brugge. Result.

Bordeaux is a bit of a trek mind, 8 hour drive from Calais. Might take the train/plane on that one.

The boat is shit though, plus i had a bad crossing that would have screwed up any hope of making the match as we didnt get into Amsterdam til 2pm. Would rather do a night in Bruges.

Ramsgate to Ostend

Hull to Zeebrugge

Eurostar

Bruges is piss easy to get to.

Bordeux is Ryanair form Edinbrugh

Maritimo you can fly direct from Newcastle with Thomsons and Thomas Cooks as it's in their winter sun brochures.

Won't Martimo be weekly flights though?

Anyone looked at prices yet/

As you dont have any clue of dates and the airlines havent had a chance to add the NUFC travel tax to them theres no point really.
