Disco
A bit OTT, why can't they just be welcoming like us? Because Belgian fans have no well documented history or reputation of going on the rampage in English football grounds and cities? Unlike say, we do. Less people there = easier to police too. But it's standard patter is it not, go over and don't be a twat and you'll be fine. I've not got a ticket and I'm probably not going bother looking for one now, just going to go over and enjoy the city for what it is. Still reckon there will be a bit of trouble though, traditional English football fans and strong Belgian lager don't mix.
David Icke - Son of God
Well I'm still going. Me too. Are there enough cells in Brugge to accommodate all of us? Somehow I doubt it

It's just a lads trip away now the prospect of getting a ticket has went out of the window.

Because Belgian fans have no well documented history or reputation of going on the rampage in English football grounds and cities? Unlike say, we do. They've got some recent form though "During the last few years, hooliganism has been an issue for Belgian football. Riots between several major teams, such as Club Brugge, Anderlecht, Standard de Liège and Union Royale Namur, have become common. On June 3, 2011, after the Belgium vs. Turkey match, several riots occurred in the city center of Ghent after a 1-1 draw. 30 people were injured." JH
It's stupid because it's a city which openingly allows tourists from Britain. They gonna stop every Englishman, drop their keys and see what happens?
nazza06
Traveled, ticketless, to Brussels last week for the Belgium - Scotland game. Probably 6,000+ travelling fans I imagine with about 3,500 with a ticket for the match. Everyone gathered in the Grand Place and although there wasn't any bother, the police would rather we were somewhere else. They were friendly folk and had a great attitude, eventually shifting us out and onto the metro. The metro was free for all Scotland fans and they told us exactly where to go and where to change. They had set up a fan park close to the ground for us with beer and food stalls, a huge screen and a dj. The place was buzzing and plenty ticketless fans stayed to watch the match there. Was really impressed with the effort and set up they put on, hopefully it will be as well organised and enjoyable for our visit to Brugge.
cambb
We have 6 tickets in the South Lounge corporate area supplied by the club sponsors a Belgian bank. Does that mean we are going to be refused entry?

Fingers crossed they're just trying to scare people off acting like dicks. It's completely the wrong attitude though, paints us as enemies of the police from the get-go. Scoreboard82
From what i can gather, the ground is outside of the city centre anyway. They haven't said you can't enter the city without a ticket. If we just want to party in the centre and watch in a pub there shouldn't be a problem.
