Taylor Swift
What's the Norwich line-up? Maybe it'll make more sense to see who's playing on their wings? edit - not that I agree with us setting up to defend them, again. It's moronic.
Guest VaVaVoom
Looking like we're starting a midfielder at left back, a utility defender in midfield and a central midfielder on the left wing. And some are amazed it's being questioned. Jonas has pretty much been playing left back the last few games. Perch played in midfield at Forest, just as much as he did in defence. If we are playing a diamond, the left side of a diamond is not the left wing. Let's see what the lineup is once the game starts, negative Nancy. littlelunchbox
perch is left back obviously
powellnufc
Jonas has been pretty much playing like a lb recently, so I don't see a problem in trying him there in a home match where we should expect to maintain control of the match (especially if Santon has a slight injury, but not sure??) johnnypd
just seen the norwich line-up - atrocious, their best players on the bench. we should vanquish them easily. as for the mooted strange lineup- it could be a sign Pardew is prepared to try something different to accommodate Cisse and get us away from playing too much hoof ball (sorry madras). if true and we start getting it down and playing then it's something which should be applauded rather than scrutinised. on the other hand if it is just his way to make the midfield more defensive by having perch in there...we'll see... ShearMagic
Also involved against Norwich are midfielder Danny Guthrie and utility man James Perch, with those making way today being Davide Santon, Cheick Tiote and Gabriel Obertan. The changes in personnel are expected to see United line-up slightly differently from normal, with Jonas Gutierrez dropping back into a left-back role. Perch should play alongside Guthrie in the middle of the park, with Yohan Cabaye asked to take up a spot on the left flank, but tucking inside, while Hatem Ben Arfa will continue on the right wing. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20120318/newcastle-v-norwich-trio-of-changes_2281670_2664392?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
