Guest bimpy474
Na, Frank Pingel. He scored though - remember him and Benny Kristensen. Sure Benny was the better one of the two anarl. Benny was CB who played in midfield a bit from i recall.
George Bailey
Didn't Rob McDonald come from a Dutch club? I remember him being s****. Think he scored for us too. Andreas "Pamela" Andersson was another. Jesus, he was weaker than p*ss him. Dear lord. You are dredging the fuckers up now LOL. Thing with de Jong and most of them actually, is that the whole club has me just so deflated and down that its hard to judge if any of them are good, average, poor, piss poor or sholaesque. in the past we have had some crumbs. I wsn't the biggest fan of McKeag and co but even then we had 'some' direction, some crumbs of comfort. Now its just shit from the very top to the very bottom, with a big side order of shit, flavoured with grated shit and served on a bed of wilted shit. Literally not even the 90 mins of footbal to lose yourself in. I was never really able to divorce the game from the wider issues, I know many can and do. just watch the 90 mins and go home, not really interested or particularly bothered in the other things. (The wider state of the club, its links to the community, the stadium, direction, ambition etc) For me 'we' have always been more than the 90 mins, more than just the game of football. thats why this regime is so soul destroyingly evil and pernicious. His legs seemed really short in proportion to the rest of his body, gave him a strange running style but he was still fairly rapid iirc
sempuki
We have had some right dross over the years. Xisco, Guivarc'h, Luque etc. The list goes on. Hopefully De Jong can turn it around although looks lightweight and slow to me.

Hopefully De Jong can turn it around although looks lightweight and slow to me. Don't really see how we can decry Xisco as dross when he played all of two games for us, mind. Yes the circumstances we signed him under were shitty but as a player for us he literally never got anything remotely resembling a chance.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
I'd sign De Jong, despite him not showing much so far i think he has something about him. It amazes me that anyone would advocate NUFC signing him. He hasn't done anything to deserve a permanent contract. Yes he is playing in a team with no confidence but he is also supposed to be trying to impress. Surely it is easier to impress in a s*** team as it shouldn't take too much effort to stand out? Luuk de Jong has blended in with our poor, out of form team. He should be busting a gut to try to impress NUFC (or other teams if NUFC don't want him). He needs to impress to escape the disaster of his Borussia Mönchengladbach move.
BrettNUFC
Xisco proved he could do it by scoring a hatty on a cold wet Monday night against Stoke at Whitley Park. Should have got his chance.
Revolution Number 9
I just don't see how anyone could have an opinion on what he did on the pitch for us either way tbh. You can't judge nothing and that's what his playing career for us was.
Ste
Xiscos career since speaks a lot about his ability. We signed a dud.
Stuy_O
Honestly, although his career with us was a disaster I don't think Luque was rubbish. He got a bad injury here from the off and just could never settle after that. I think if he'd joined a club over here that was actually going somewhere and avoided injury we'd have seen how good he was.
Ste
Luque was half decent but he didn't want the move, then he was marginalised and couldn't be arsed to fight his way back into the side. Waste of talent.

It amazes me that some are so quick to right off players when I bet the same that do are shitting themselves Debuchy might be off in the summer. Bump his thread from this time last season and I bet there are very similar comments to those on de Jong. I wouldn't sign de Jong on the prices quoted but would be happy to give the lad a bit more time if we could arrange another loan.

Guest
Almost 1 in 2 for Cordoba mind. I know it's not great but he's hardly a dud. Maybe just found his level.
