The other games today - 2012/13

EUR 15 mill is not what I'd call really low. He's not exactly Messi.

For a player of his potential I'd say it is.

Nice bit of hyperbole as well by mentioning Messi.

I was completely serious. Cabaye had a 4 million release clause, now that is what I would call really low for a player of his ability. 15 million for a youngster with a lot of potential really low? Nah..

Consider the fees for Hazard, Oscar, and what Gotze and Muniain would cost. 15m is pretty good in comparison.

Maybe I haven't seen enough of Isco, like I hadn't of Oscar tbf, but I think what Hazard, Gotze and Munain have shown is on a different level. In  my defense I don't particularly make a point of watching every Malaga match like some others may do.

I actually think Oscar has been more impressive than Hazard has this season. I thought he would actually take time to adapt to English football but he seems to have slotted in almost immediately.

Think they've both been terrific this season, really hard to pick either for me. Mental that Benitez opted for Moses ahead of Oscar when he came in.

Playing with actual width and protection for wingers is not mental. Oscar has some developing to do, imo.

Isco is older than Gotze, and only one year younger than Hazard. For Chelsea, getting a squad player winger (Moses) for 10 million was great business. They operate in a different realm.

Really? i thought he was younger my bad. Even so though for a player of his ability and potential its rather cheap considering what players of that type go for these days.

You may well be right Mole, as I said I haven't really seen much of him, but every time I do watch Malaga I barely see anything to warrant the hype. His stats are not really all that either, I mean they're OK, but hardly spectacular. To put it into context, we paid 5 million for Ben Arfa. Is Isco right now a much better player than Benny was when we got him?

Has Isco managed to make himself an outcast from every team he'd ever been involved in? Don't understate the risk we took with Ben Arfa.

Fair enough, but is Isco not a risk as we're talking a rather hefty limited fee for potential rather than finished product here from what I can gather..?

Different player tbh, more of a playmaker like Marveaux to use an example but a lot better as i said IMO he will be Iniesta's successor in the national team and his stats have not exactly been spectacular either.

I think he's great tbh and probably one of the best players if not the best in Spain outside the top 3, obviously he's young with lots to prove but has all the talent you could want and even at such a young age he's proving himself in La Liga and CL and will go on to prove he's worth well beyond that price.

Obviously you shouldn't take my word for it and judge for yourself on consistent viewing but i have personally seen enough to think he warrants the hype.
