NG32
This mess; http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/img/shirts/14/newcastle-united-away-football-shirt-1997-1998-s_2587_1.jpg Awful kit.
Guest firetotheworks
It's plain to see that the quality of the kit is quite heavily dependant upon the quality of the team at that time. I fucking hate the 97-99 home strip, but I would probably have liked it if we'd have still been ripping it up under KK.
morla84
absolutely loved this one, wish I still had it http://epltalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/new-newcastle-third-shirt.jpg

Not sure on the size, it's either a M, or a Large, either way it's a little tight on my now and I'm not that keen on it.

SiLvOR
it really was a lush kit, that. Did click extremely easily though. Excuse my ignorance, what do you mean when you say it "clicks"? It's when you start getting little nicks in the fabric, so it's no longer perfectly smooth as new. Usually happens when you brush against something and a thread catches and pulls. The cheaper the fabric, the more likely it is to happen. Gotcha, just never heard the expression somehow
Cheshire Mag
Without labels looks like you bought it from a mall kiosk on a trip to Orlando's outlets. No bueno. Looks like cheap polyster that would pill and be destroyed after 1 wish. When I was there in September they were still selling Kaka AC Milan shirts there!! Coco
I took the plunge and ordered the '96 away top. Hopefully it's not completely shit and lasts for more than one wash.
Guest chicken little
No mention of the best away kit we've had since the brown and blue hoops? http://esellution.co.uk/media/shirtmasters/products/8370/tS27avktCa.jpg Clicked the minute you put it over your head but good God was it sexy. Not shiny enough.

Toon Hoser
Clicks, nicks, pulls, bobbles - there's a whole lexicon involved with describing old shirts.

I caved and got the 1990 away. Let us compare shirt quality when they arrive.
nobby_solano
the worst shirt I can remember for clicking was the first batch of the asics home shirt from 93 with the blue star and embroidered asics logo (rather than the rubbery printed one)

It's available in JD sports on the Silverlink. It's looks ok, seems a bit thinner than the original if that makes sense.

NUFC_Chris
Didn't Wonga say they were going consult with fans for the new shirt? Giving us some options to choose from or did that go out the window.

wormy
Didn't Wonga say they were going consult with fans for the new shirt? Giving us some options to choose from or did that go out the window. It's not Wonga that produces the shirt, why should they consult the fans for it? Ask the Wonga PR team that said they would. As a sponsor they're obviously going to get input, information on it. I never did understand how they'll have enough say to then give the fans a say, but if that's the case why say it?
NUFC_Chris
That's what they've done with the other clubs they've sponsored. I assume they must pay for and organise a choice of design for fans to vote on. Did it at Blackpool & Hearts and read in the propaganda they released when the news first broke they were sponsoring us they'd do the same here.
