He's a very good player.
LRD
Depends on how you define a legend then. It'd take more than appearances or simply good/very good to achieve legend status, one that belongs to Bobby Charlton, Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona. Guess you are more liberal with your praise than the average person, considering you rate Januzaj as a 'great player' after half a season.

Guess you are more liberal with your praise than the average person, considering you rate Januzaj as a 'great player' after half a season. It's more about what the club means to a player as well. Fletcher is a true Manchester United player. One of those men who will never leave unless asked to. He's been with us since he was about 10 years old. Every Manchester United fan sees Fletcher as a legend. He means a hell of a lot more to me than Cantona does. And Januzaj will be a great player. I was speaking in potential terms... LRD
Man Utd are crying out for someone like Mata's creativity come on. Januzaj is a kid and Kagawa barely plays. Didnt Mata start out as a winger? I sure he did and I'm sure he'd be good there but it's clear he's best as a #10. Januzaj may well be a kid, but it's clear he's a great player already. If you're good enough you're old enough. Rooney is a better player than Mata. If Rooney stays it's not worth the money. If Rooney goes, then by all means, please send Mata this way. Personal opinion and all that, I guess. I remember saying it. The ellipsis in my previous post was meant to represent that. Fletcher more of a legend than Cantona? Asked the Man United fan in our office and he went with Cantona. Wait until Fletcher retires and you'll see. I could be in the minority but I don't think so. We absolutely love him. Cantonas ability was obviously unreal and that's mainly the reason he's held in such high regard, but he gained a lot of his popularity for his notorious behaviour. I mean, getting banned for 8 months for kicking a fan in the face is all well and good for a story, but it cost us the league that year IMO. The fact he came back the following season and essentially won the double for us means people forget about it. "When seagulls follow the trawler it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea." - Cool quote, and helps establish his eccentric character, but give me the hard-working, dedicated and loyal player who stays at your club for 20+ years any day to be honest. Even more so now after his determination and grit to come back from ulcerative colitis after a two-three year struggle.

1878
Fletcher over Cantona? Fletcher spent half his career at Man Utd as the fans' #1 boo boy. They also gave Ferguson stick for picking him all the time when he was playing crap week in, week out. When he eventually came good the fans built up this myth around him being a "big game player", gave him cult hero status and acted as if they'd always rated him. Now Froggy has taken it to ridiculous levels. Definite mare.

Now Froggy has taken it to ridiculous levels. Definite mare. Booed for half his career man. Absolute tripe. Seriously. That's utter rubbish. Him along with the whole team were booed for a couple of games about 7 or 8 years ago, including Fergie. All I said was that Fletcher means a lot more to me than Cantona does. Cantona was class man, but give me the dedicated one club men any day. Big game player in quotes by the way? Fletcher won numerous top four clashes basically by himself. Even scored the goals in some of them. There's nothing mythical about it.
