Danh1
Christ, he's been given control of our next match and possibly our match after that and all of a sudden everyone is on suicide watch. Relax people, if he really wanted Carver he would have been given the job before now just like when he brought Pardew in, it was almost instantly. You are deluded if you don't think that the longer this shit drags on the more likely it is that Carber will get it.

Relax people, if he really wanted Carver he would have been given the job before now just like when he brought Pardew in, it was almost instantly. You are deluded if you don't think that the longer this shit drags on the more likely it is that Carber will get it. If Ashley wanted him then he would be in by now. Ashley doesn't care what we think, he does what he wants. He gots plenty of stick but still does what he wants, from hiring Pardew almost instantly, to Sports Direct adverts, selling popular players, and even having Wonga as our main sponsor. If Ashkey wanted Carver in the job then he wouldn't wait in order to let things settle down, he'd just appoint him. See the appointments of Pardew and re-appointment of Kinnear at the club. The fact is that so far there has been no appointment of Carver and all reports indicate that Carr will be having an input in who to bring in as a manager with plenty of suitable names mentioned. Even the article that says Carver maybe in charge for the Southampton match indicates an outside appointment.
Mole_Toonfan
Like kids dreaming of Christmas. Then on Christmas morning we find out dad lost it all on 'Monty's Magic' in the 4:35 at Chepstow and we've got and orange and a stick to play with. Weznufc
The Northern Echo, says that Remi Garde wants the job and is hoping to talk to the club some time this week. Dont know how true that paper is.
buzza
The reality is this: Fat boy has just arrived back from his hols in Blabberados He has more pressing concerns a little further north of the border Any Fuc*wit interested in the job will need to be interviewed, contract negotiated, brainwashed into sycophantic mindset...etc...etc We are due to wait a week or two until a decision (Carver= cheap/already brainwashed) is made... P.S. for what it's worth Remi Garde seems our best option, knows the cheap frenchy market well, will get on well with the team. Has worked on relative shoestring previously. Managing expectations and PR are clearly very important to the club.
Guest Roger Kint
Good job we have a 5 point cushion to 12th place if Carver is here for the next two weeks. Our only hope of respectibility is if Jose tells them to stop playing at 3-0, if he wants revenge god help us.

Unless its already sorted out and AShley has just been waiting to get back. Didn't the club say it was a bit disppointed that the news of pardew leaving for palace was a little early, cant remember the exact quote...Makes me think they knew it (pardew wanted the palace job) was happening and just wanted to keep the lid on it for a little bit longer until we had our own plans finalised. Caver has had a full week to work with the players and drill into them his own footballing ideas. I've no doubt we will see a great performance. ads
Sure this has already been posted but from an article in FFW: Garde is a smart, knowledgeable, and likeable man, and right now it’s impossible to judge his time at Lyon: he needs a season in charge of a club that isn’t selling its players or hawking them across Europe to various suitors. Exactly, and don't forget all that experience he brings from his really really really successful stint with the juggernaut of football that is Toronto. Players might still be too much in awe to concentrate on tactics mind you.

STM
Always worry we will end up with a Santini, but I'd far rather take the risk on European potential than some mediocre English pillock.
