Benwell Lad
Interesting article from Weez Keeyz. Makes some decent points, but quite contradictory to the popular opinions of a few on here and no doubt pretty contentious stuff for the more hard core Pardew haters. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/aug/12/premier-league-preview-newcastle-united
AlanSkÃrare
What's he saying in today's Journal? Apparently quotes on Kinnear and Graham Carr.

Guest Phil K
Not many people think Pardew is as bad as we do, TBF. Outsiders don't have THEIR team managed by him ! If he's here, he can't be given THEIR teams job !
Guest neesy111
Tbf, I've had a few friends from other clubs say to me they were surprised that Pardew wasn't binned at the end of the season. They do watch quite a bit of football so they knew how awful we were last season, unlike the casual armchair viewer.

Incognito
Well I'm going to give Pards a chance. Forget last season. Clean slate. But if he fails to bring in 3 points from our first game , he can fuck off.
colinmk
Not many people think Pardew is as bad as we do, TBF. Loads of my friends who support other teams regularly take the piss out of me about Pardew. Everyone knows he's a fraud, they just find it funny. To be fair, if i was looking at another club in this situation i'd be thinking the same thing, probably surprised lasted the season actually. Bad results in a short period of time in football these days and the outcome does usually end up with the sack. We've just tried to brag about stability for the past few years though so wouldn't look good on our part to follow suit hence probably why one more chance has been given. I would be thinking the same thing too, but then if they stuck with their manager they would probably get a lot of credit from many quarters.

If you look at David Moyes and Everton with Kenwright holding his nerve through the troubling times when they were flirting near the bottom on more than one occasion but he stuck by and now he's managing the biggest club in the country. Whether he's earned that position or justified getting that job on his achievements from Everton is open for debate. However had Kenwright sacked him when things got tough, he certainly wouldn't be anywhere near that job right now.
Guest chopey
If we dont get at least 7 points from our first 6 games I think Pardew is gone, in fact I still think a heavy defeat against Man City and we could have a new fella in for West Ham
