Easily forgotten or brushed over in amongst much justified criticism of the way we played last season. We got to the last eight of a European competition which we came out of with heads held high and in fairness he had to outplay a couple of very astute top coaches along the way. We scraped passed a Fulham side that couldn't find their arse with both hands, and whilst our performance against Villa was a massive improvement, they are still Villa so you're bound to get chances. Ba had a stormer for half a season and then literally EVERYTHING Cisse kicked went in. Colo was great and HBA made a big impact when Pardew eventually realised Obertan was making him look bad.
