Geordinho
One of the few things that Pardew has got credit for on here is his man-management skills, but if there are rifts in the camp it just goes to show getting it right on the pitch comes first. You can hold bonding sessions and international food days till the cows come home but if the football's crap the players are going to get p*ssed. Of course, but that doesn't mean he isn't decent at man management. He might still be good at it but, like you say, unable to counteract the effects of so many defeats. You're right though, man management is easy when you're winning. He might be decent at the lovey-dovey side of man-management but when it comes to the difficult bit he's failed miserably with the most notable example being his treatment of Ba to the detriment of the team. He should have had the balls to stand up to him and it cost us big style. Have to wonder if that's where the players started to disrespect him. They may like him but that's not enough if it produces the garbage that we've seen in the past few weeks.

I do think most of the chat about players not liking him and mutiny in the camp is pure speculation mind. There was a period where we used to bounce back from a defeat almost immediately, and that was under Pardew too. He is capable of some degree of spirit creation, I guess this time the negative factors have just been too much to overcome with his brand of man management. There's so many other perhaps seemingly insignificant things he's done too that could contribute. When he started slagging and blaming the youngsters in the press earlier in the season really annoyed me.

My point was that man-management skills are a good quality to have but ultimately worthless if you don't know how to set teams up on the pitch. Players who are being asked to play strange roles will get demoralised in the end. Cabaye couldn't wait to come here last year and didn't even look at other options. Now he looks frustrated and unhappy. Pardew's happy clappy circus acts won't make any difference when the football we play is so dire.

Dokko
Which one of the admins is Pardew. Probably Mike. Speaking of mike, seems he's been keeping a low profile since his team won 6-0. Either that or he's changed his avatar, again.

Either that or he's changed his avatar, again. He's Pardew. That's why he never shows us his face. That's why he acts so hard to seem American, up to and including saying that he doesn't know what's wrong with having used to support Liverpool. That's why he can't bear to post in football anymore. It all makes sense now.
littlelunchbox
It's quite clear Pardew is not an admin on here for f*** sake If he was he would had made an Excuses thread. Away Toon
Jurgen Klopp; "The only way to reach your dream is to be brave." And that is the biggest problem with Pardew, his lack of football bravery, his cowardice. Setting up his teams negatively, highlighted with his starting selection against Benfica at home (some people on her ludicrously defended this) and Liverpool last weekend. This attitude is not going to change, as Pardew is incapable of coaching the present set of players we have to attack a game without us getting picked off on the counter. Letting our hair down at Spurs, Wigan away (4-0) and Man Utd (4-3) and Arsenal (7-3) illustrate the point perfectly. Talking of cowardice, Ashley is in danger of joining Pardew, firstly by employing him in the first place and secondly in not sacking him. Hopefully this summer he grows some balls as well. Lotus
It's either: a) He has bad ideas b) He has good ideas but communicates them poorly c) He has good ideas and communicates them well but ALL the players are bad at taking instructions. Either a or b is clearly more probable.
