Wallace
On the Palace forum they were talking about how we used to wear kilts to away games, is this true ? and why ? Remember seeing the odd fan wearing a black and white kilt - in the same way you see the occasional fan wearing one of those B&W onesies - but nothing on a large scale. Guest firetotheworks
Reckon if you made a best XI through time from a club then Milan would be the strongest. Real? Milan should be able to yield a very balanced team whereas Real one may struggle to find the same balance. Aye, this was my thinking. Would between those two I'd have thought anyway. Juve, Barça and Man United running close. Maradona - Ronaldinho Messi - Ronaldo Barcelona wins. Greatest of all time...Ronaldinho...howeh.
joeyt
Yeah, get Cruyff in there

Guest firetotheworks
I imagine it would be something like this in terms of our generation? Schmeichel Man United Cafu AC Baresi AC Nesta AC Maldini AC Xavi Barca Zidane Real Maradona Barca Messi Barca Ronaldo Barca C.Ronaldo Real
Guest firetotheworks
I like the idea of this though, an all time XI for each team. It would have to be Barca for me, Messi, Cruyff, Maradona, Ronaldo, Xavi...that's 5 of the very best players of all time right there.

Fair enough, at first I was thinking of what they did for each club. In which case Ronaldinho would be there instead of Diego. Forgot all about Cruyff

Rossi Tasotti - Costacurta - Baresi - Maldini is pretty much the best back 4 ever infront of a capable keeper.

Given - Nobby, Colo, Albert, Jose Enrique - HBA, Lee, Beardsley, Ginola - Ferdinand, Shearer Would get fearsomely botted most games in this hypothetic league. That I've seen...and it's biased based on favourites rather than most effective, but: Given Solano Albert Coloccini Enrique Ben Arfa Lee Beardsley Ginola Shearer Ferdinand A bit more serious/effective in my life time Given Beye Albert Coloccini Enrique Solano Lee Beardsley Robert Shearer Cole If I was being serious rather than nostalgic and took older players that I haven't seen into account (but popular opinion), I'd probably go with this, but I dunno tbh. Given Clark Albert Moncur Enrique Green Gascoigne Beardsley Lee Shearer Milburn
Froggy
I never realised Albert was rated so highly. Knew he was loved by the fans but thought it was because of his forward runs and something else he did that has slipped my mind completely.
