The 2013/14 Betting Thread

Someone once told me that if you bet the same amount on every game at a World Cup or Euros to finish 2-2 then it's pretty likely you'll be in profit. Wonder if that would work over a PL season, if someone could do it with like 10p on each game?

I've just done a quick count and there were 26 2-2 draws last season.

Taking a quick look at the odds on Saturday for a 2-2 draw, they range from 11/1 to 18/1, averaging around 14.5/1.

If you bet £1 on every game last year for a 2-2 then for average odds of:

11/1 you'd be £49 down.

14.5/1 you'd be £42 up.

18/1 you'd be £133 up

However 26 2-2 draws in a season seems a particularly high one for last year, as there were only 13 the season before, 23 the year before that and 19 the year before that.

So no, I don't think that's a good tactic.....

Just said that if your Premier League "acca" of 5+ loses they'll refund the bet to use next weekend.

Decent BetVictor offer for anyone with an account/fancies joining.

Place a treble on the PL matches this weekend (fuck off Lyon) of up to £25 and get a free treble for the same stake next weekend, regardless of the outcome of this weekend's treble.

Predicted this Lyon game goal by goal and have no money to show for it.

I'll put something on in the 2nd half and the opposite will probably happen.

£1 million on Lyon to score next.

Decided to place a massive accumulator based on the forums tips in the prediction league. £5 bet in total on the outcome the forum at the moment finds most likely, £6219.9 return if the forum knows what it's on about :yao:

Since everyone respects my predictions so much, I give you....

Neil's 5 Premier League bets to glory:

Everton @ 9/2 to finish top 6 - too long, and would take that every time over Liverpool @ 1/3

Swansea to finish top 10 still available @ 7/4 at a number of places - crazy value. In fact, 2/1 with Winner.

Villa are an equally appealing 23/10 for top 10. Top 12 is a much less appealing 8/11.

In terms of top scorer, you'll have to look past RVP if you want any sort of value as he's predictably very short. Soldado @ 20/1 is a great shout for the more ambitious punters. Can get that at Coral and Youwin.

For who wins it all, there's not much value as such as it's so concentrated. Chelsea for me, best price 5/2.

Agree, disagree? Stick your neck out and call the shots.

Let's go fucking mental.
