The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!

Recommended Posts

Ah but look at that incline from now.

We'll need to have gone 8 wins in a row in total just to stay within a point.

Any more of this s*** and we might catch Everton.

They did win today though.

Play like that though, we can beat them up here. Then it's 2.

Anything less than 6 points in the next two would be a failure tbf.

If we get them it will be a little disappointing if we cant get close to 60 points by the end.

Aye, that run was 6, we've got two so would need to have gone 8 wins in a row to stay within a point.

Have we ever done that in the Premier League?

Remy is absolute key to what we do rest of the season.

Agreed, look like scoring every game he is playing. Only actual threat we have mind so that goes without saying

Nah. We won like 159 in a row in the Championship though.

Did 8 in all comps at the start of KK's second season. Doubt we have got more than 6 though in the PL(3 times i think)

8 would overhaul it, wouldn't it?

8 x 3 = 24 + 43 = 67 points

I'm I missing something?

I mean we've already won 2, so matching what we did in 2012 would mean we'd have won 8 in a row, which I don't think we've done at this level. (least not in the Premier League era)

Sorry thought you meant winning 8 games from now.

There's no reason why we can't win 3-4 of the next 6 actually.

Fulham (a)

Palace (h)

Southampton (a)

Man U (h)

Stoke (a)

Swansea (h)

Win the next 2, get a bit momentum, and those next 3 look good.

If anything it just makes the farce of a month proceeding Cabaye's sale where the team had basically given up even more f*cking annoying.

Oh and the sale itself naturally.

We're at minimum 3 points down where we should have been like. Norwich was a decent performance and just unlucky, Sunderland was the killer. Chelsea & Spurs weren't really unexpected results.

More the attitude than the actual results really.

We had already beaten Chelsea and Spurs this season go in with the same attitude and who knows we may repeat the trick?

And besides 3 extra points would have meant a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Didn't expect the records to be as similar (and more wins this season!). Just goes to show how much difference that great run at the end of 11/12 made.
