Fair enough, when i saw him ( fair few years ago now mind) he would play on the wing, not a natural winger though would drift into central areas and the penalty area quite a lot.

Tbf his 2011/12 history showed him playing LM.

A RIVAL for the signature of one of Newcastle United’s main transfer targets has emerged today.

Dutch forward Luuk de Jong has long been a target for the Magpies, after they failed to sign him two seasons ago when he joined Borussia Monchengladbach instead.

But the Daily Mirror today reports that Stoke are plotting a January swoop for the 23-year-old, and manager Mark Hughes has not given up hope of getting a work permit for American forward Juan Agudelo, 21. The transfer stories are hotting up as the January looms, and these are some of the headlines elsewhere:

Seems to be a fair bit of talk about Luuk de Jong still, if he can get fit and hit the form that got him in the Dutch side he'd be a good signing.

thing is he done that form in the dutch league, how's he done in the german league and if he hasn't done well what are the reasons for it ?

Unless something has drastically changed he's a winger.

Gouffran was a striker, and Sissoko a central midfielder.

Gouff played on the wing for Bordeaux, even when they came to SJP ffs.

Seventeen million for Kompany or twenty nine million for Luiz.

I love daft little things like that.

Like how Colo & Cisse are the only two players in our entire squad who cost more than what Sunderland paid for Cattermole.
