We truly deserve to go down. You can't have people this clueless in charge of a football club for so long and keep getting away with it. It's just not right, nor is it fair to those clubs that actually want to succeed.

Writing was on the wall when Colo signed his contract to be honest, I don't expect him to be replaced until this summer at the earliest (if they release Taylor)

Knowing these morons they will give Taylor a new deal :anguish:

I think they might just do it, fills the English quota and plays well with the people who believe we need a geordie spine.

Paul Dummett and Jamie Sterry also offer further cover while Kevin Mbabu’s versatility across the back four has also left the Magpies’ backroom team in agreement that new faces are needed elsewhere on the pitch.

So we can rely on a guy who's played a couple of games and one who's never played before should we find ourselves in last-ditch relegation battle. Why do we need attackers then? There are strikers in the youth team, we can just play them.

In other words Taylor is back until the summer.  So they hope he can stay fit until his contract runs out and they can shift him out and bring someone in with the wages they would be paying him.  Pathetic attitude really, especially since our current center back pairing isn't good enough to begin with.

Can only hope its a case of playing things down so clubs don't think we're desperate for a new defender.  But in reality their's almost no chance of that being the case.

We desperately need a massive beast of a CB, someone big and strong who can physically dominate the opposition to complement Mbemba and quality CM in the Speed / Batty mould who can anchor the side and control the midfield.

Just those two signings would transform us as a team imo.  We could get rid of Colback ( ) and play Wijnaldum and Sissoko in their natural positions and use Thauvin and Perez for a bit of width.

If we're willing to go into fantasy land then a pacey old fashioned winger a la Keith Gillespie with a bit of pace and a good cross on him and a new left back who can work effectively at both ends of the pitch would be lovely too.

No doubt we'll get another no.10 and a new goalie for the U16s cos value innit.

There's something about him I like. Never going to be a world beater but I think he could be at the sort of level for us if he starts regularly than say Shelvey is at Swansea.
