Teasy
03/04 ? Sold Woodgate to Real. EDIT: Or do you mean Jan 2003 and Summer 2003? We did allow a couple to leave that where first teamers for a while, but didn't sell anyone for cash in that time.

Elliottman
Could argue that Boumsong & Bowyer were first-teamers. Could you argue perch was first team?

No. You could like, Pardew prefered him to Anita a lot last season. Started 19 league games did Perch, compared to shockingly low 9 for Anita. EDIT: Another 8 sub appearances for Perch, total of 27 league games. That's a a first team player in my book.

FFS that's ridiculous. No wonder we ended up 16th (i know that's not the only rreason before anyone jumps on this comment) leaving him out like that. Guest
Perch was not a first-choice. He played when there was injuries/suspensions to the first-choice players in his position.

Daft if it's true, tbf Perch would have played a few games at CB but i know he played a fair few in CM.
Interpolic
Got Jonas, Harper, Simpson, Perch and Ranger off the wage bill, which is probably about £100k/week. Probably just about cancels out Remy's loan fee/wages.
Guest bimpy474
Perch was not a first-choice. He played when there was injuries/suspensions to the first-choice players in his position. Why did he start ahead of Anita in CM, i suppose Pardew trusted Perch and the tackle he provided at the time.

Fair comment but when you had Tiote in there too it seems a bit overkill on tackles. Hence we played shite football i guess.

That wasn't what you said though, you said permanent first team members, Perch definitely was one.
Guest
I was wording that to match the "no first team players permanently signed" comment before it though.
