Couldn’t be arsed managing all those fucking egos in the dressing room at Madrid mind.

Vini, proper cunt him. Bellingham has an oversized chip on his shoulder as well, can imagine Mbappe is a big head as well.

They need Don Carlo back, or Zidane as someone mentioned.

Has “Don Carlo” just signed a new extension with Brazil?

Zidane is available. Not sure if he’s interested in sorting out their mess again. Not even sure how interested he is in full time management as he’s never really been strongly linked with anything other than the France job.

One of the reasons Alonso has failed is Ancelotti had the players trust and respect.  Won everything with them.

Alonso has rocked up.  With less credentials and tried to implement what’s been considered a revolution for a team that’s been successful these last 4 years.

And the players are right. They don’t need to sit and watch long videos of Osasuna to beat them. Why are they playing 3 at the back? They are just as turgid and ponderous as they were under Carlo.

I mean Carlo was even better than Alonso when it came to defending players from racism.  When it comes to man management, Alonso wasn’t good.

Carlo was grand-fatherly yet cool. Xabi has PE Teacher energy.  Honestly relieved he’s done.

They are 2nd now.

That’s my point. For them, that’s considered a mess. Zidane won, stepped away, his replacement was 2nd..he came back to sort things.

Ancelotti has won it may times with them but they obviously felt a change was needed.

Seems like something of a poisoned chalice but they continue to collect trophies regularly enough.

Why? Are you actually a Real Madrid fan? Been taking the piss all these years and didn’t realise you genuinely like the cunts

Real have tonnes of expensive, talented players. They don't need fancy systems, they just need to keep things simple. Get Roy Keane in to shout 'just do your fucking job!' at them and they'll probably be fine.

Let the players have a week each managing them until the end of the season, they are so far up their own arses in Madrid they would probably go for it, who knows they might even learn some humility.

I mean, this is something that is done everywhere. They don't beat Osasuna or Espanyol by just turning up.

Vini, Mbappe and Bellingham are hugely entitled pricks. I mean, Vini doesn't win Ballon d'or and whole team boycott because of that? How petty is that?

Yeh they beat Osasuna by simply being motivated and working hard. They don’t need huge tactical analysis.

The players do need to respect the coach.  People forget it was Mourinho coming in and changing the culture that sparked the golden era even though he didn’t win.  The players did eventually get him out (as do most teams btw - this is not specific to Real) but Mourinho installed a discipline and a work rate that lasted a decade and longer. I do thi no Mbappe is one too many big ego and the biggest.  Jude and Vini jr. have won it all with Real. Jude is a team player.

As odious as he is, and as shit as he was for us, Owen was literally world class and fully deserving of the Ballon D'or. Unfortunately for him, he was pretty much finished after 21.

I don't think they need huge tactical analysis, because most teams sit back against them and Barca, but when they do something different the players must know how to react. Or if the plan A doesn't work, they need to know what to do and execute it well. You don't win anything with "put your best players on and just let them play" -tactics.

Alonso might have tried to do too much too quickly. Playing 3 at the back is not something out of this world. Teams have been winning UCL or EPL playing 3 at the back for ages. If the players don't want to play that way, it still is manager's decision. You either do your best or leave. If the manager is not a total moron (Amorim) he will know this or that doesn't work.

Of course you "win it all" if you are at Real. You won't stay there for long if you don't win. Any player who acts like Vini should be sacked.

Yeh playing a back 3 at Real Madrid just isn’t going to work. It has to be out of this world to work.  It wasn’t.

they were doing 6 hours of video analysis a week. For every opppnent. From next to 0.  It’s far too much too soon.

And like I said - this is a team that has won multiple league and CL titles.
